Kiara back to Delhi University for another film’s shoot
New Delhi– After shooting for the recently released film “Kabir Singh” at various colleges of the Delhi University, actress Kiara Advani is back in the national capital to shoot for her next film.
Without revealing much details about the movie, Kiara on Sunday took to Instagram Stories and wrote: “Memories… Miranda House college. Had shot here for ‘Kabir Singh’ and now back here for the next one.”
Along with it, she shared a photograph of the college’s entrance.
Priyanka goes traditional for Joe, Sophie’s wedding
Paris– Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas went traditional for the wedding of “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner and American singer Joe Jonas’ in France.
Sophie and Joe exchanged vows for the second time on Saturday here. Photographs from the nuptials are doing the rounds of the Internet.
Apart from the newly-wed couple, it’s Priyanka’s look which has grabbed the attention of social media users.
Dressed in a pink sari, accessorised with minimal jewellery and her hair tied in a neat bun, Priyanka aced the ethnic look, while her husband and singer-actor Nick Jonas looked dapper in a black tuxedo.
The two also posed for some happy family photos with Danielle Jonas, Kevin Jonas and others.
Joe and Sophie surprised fans worldwide with an impromptu wedding on May 1 in Las Vegas.
The ceremony, which followed the Billboard Music Awards, was officiated by an Elvis impersonator and live streamed by Diplo on Instagram.
Kriti Sanon wraps up ‘Panipat’
Mumbai– Actress Kriti Sanon has completed shooting for her upcoming film “Panipat”.
Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film is based on the Third Battle of Panipat, which is one of the most epic wars in India’s history. It features actors Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.
After finishing her last schedule of the movie, Kriti on Sunday took to Instagram to thank that cast and crew members of “Panipat”.
“There is no other way of shutting him up!! Haha…Thank you Arjun for being such a lovely and entertaining co-star! With no ice to break, I’m glad we went on this journey together and I found an amazing friend in you,” Kriti wrote along with a photograph of herself posing with Arjun.
When Salman Khan offered water to a monkey
Mumbai– Superstar Salman Khan has been sharing a lot of interesting stuff on social media nowadays. From photographs with his dog to videos with his nephews, the “Dabangg” actor’s social media feed is now filled with fun moments from his daily routine.
On Sunday, Khan uploaded a video on Instagram in which he was seen offering water in plastic bottle to a monkey, whom he addressed as his “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”.
The monkey however, refused the bottle. Khan then offered the primate water in a glass, which he quickly grabbed.
“Hamara Bajrangi Bhaijaan plastic ki bottle se paani nahi peeta,” Salman captioned the video.
Amitabh, Anand Mahindra enjoy banter over ‘Big B’
Mumbai– Chairman of Mahindra group Anand Mahindra and megastar Amitabh Bachchan engaged in banter over the ‘Big B’ epithet that the actor enjoys.
“With due apologies to Amitabh Bachchan, there is only one ‘Big B’ this week…and that’s the Big Budget,” Mahindra tweeted on Monday.
To this, Amitabh, who is lovingly referred to as the Big B of Bollywood, wrote: “Hahaha, Anand Mahindra. ‘Big B’ is a media created epithet, one that I have never subscribed to. The ‘Big B’ this week that you mention, will create media… that many shall subscribe to.”
The Union Budget will be tabled on Friday.
Anshuman met real policemen to prep for ‘Blademan’
Mumbai– Actor Anshuman Jha, who will be seen as a real life serial killer ‘Blademan’ in the film “Midnight Delhi”, met policemen in the capital to prepare for his role.
“Midnight Delhi”, directed by Rakesh Rawat, is a real life crime story of the notorious Delhi serial killer, who went on a rampage by using disposed surgical blades to attack innocent women and was later arrested for his crimes.
For the role, Anshuman flew to the national capital to meet some Delhi Police officers who were associated with the case.
Other than researching for the role over the Internet, Anshuman wanted to have first hand information to understand the behaviour and body language of the character.
He said in a statement: “Just like the psycho serial killer in (mini series) ‘Abhay’ was well sketched by Ken Ghosh and Charit (writer), Pradeep in ‘Midnight Delhi’ is very well layered. All the research that I did, including speaking to the Delhi police officials and reading, researching about him, helps with the facts.
Karan salutes doctors on National Doctors’ Day
Mumbai– Actor Karan V. Grover says playing a surgeon on-screen gives him a sense of great responsibility, and he expressed his gratitude on National Doctors’ Day on Monday.
He currently plays a doctor in the StarPlus show “Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum”.
“On the day of National Doctors’ Day, I would like to salute all the doctors and express my gratitude. Since I am playing the role of a surgeon on-screen, it gives me a sense of great responsibility,” Karan said in a statement.
“I make sure that I justify it completely because my mom too belongs to the medical fraternity. Hence I keep calling her and she connects me to different doctors. I take tips on how my body language should be, how to hold the scissors, what a doctor’s demeanour should be and more. This is one of the most interesting characters for me in my television career,” he added.
Have evolved as an actor over the years: Karan Wahi
Mumbai– Actor Karan Wahi has completed 15 years in showbiz, and says he still looks at his craft with the passion he had when he started out.
Karan began his career on the small screen in 2004 with the show “Remix”. He went on to do shows like “Dill Mill Gayye” and “Kuch Toh Log Kahenge”. On the big screen, he was seen in “Daawat-e-Ishq” and “Hate Story 4”. Karan hails from Delhi.
“When Srishti-di (Srishti Behl Arya) and Goldie bhaiya (Goldie Behl) approached me for ‘Remix’, I said ‘yes’ and June 30 is the day when I signed the contract and came to Mumbai. I can never get over the feeling,” Karan said in a statement.
Karan said he gave his first pay cheque to his parents.
“I can definitely say that I have evolved as an actor over the years. With new platforms coming up, it has given me a lot of exposure throughout the year. I still look at acting with the same passion as I looked at it 15 years ago,” he added.
Soundarya trolled over son’s swimming pool picture
Mumbai– Soundarya Rajinikanth, a filmmaker and daughter of megastar Rajinikanth, took down a social media post about her son’s swimming pool adventure after she was trolled for it amidst the water crisis in Chennai.
“Removed the pictures shared in good spirit from my travel diaries, considering the sensitivity around the current water scarcity we are facing. The throwback pictures were to emphasise the importance for physical activities for children from a young age only. Let’s save water,” Soundarya tweeted.
Soundarya’s now-deleted post featured two photographs in which she was seen playing with her son Ved.
