Katrina is brand ambassador of Tropicana

New Delhi– Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has been roped in as the first ever brand ambassador in India by Tropicana to lead its new ‘My Health My Way campaign.

‘My Health My Way’ is Tropicana’s new campaign that aims to celebrate today’s time pressed millennials who find their own health and nutrition hacks to suit their individual lifestyles.

“‘My Health, My Way’ is really the reality of our lives and this is why I have partnered with Tropicana for their new campaign. As an actress, I completely understand how choc-a-bloc a day can get, but I believe more and more young people are realizing how important it is to pay attention to health.

“With the kind of busy lives that young people lead today, I honestly believe that we have to find what works for us,” Katrina said in a statement.

Katrina will also be the face of Tropicana Essentials IRON, a hero product in the Tropicana Essentials range of functional juice blends designed to address nutrient gaps in urban lifestyles.

Love for ‘Hichki’ very precious for me, says Rani

New Delhi– Actress Rani Mukerji, who has made a comeback on the silver screen with “Hichki”, says the love and blessings she has got for the film are very precious for her.

In six-days, “Hichki” has collected Rs. 22.70 crore net at the box-office, read a statement.

Overwhelmed with the response, Rani told IANS over phone from Mumbai: It feels lovely, just the fact that there are so many people who make me feel so belonged to their family. For me there is nothing more precious than this… The love of my audiences and the blessings of all the elders.”

In “Hichki”, the 40-year-old actress plays the character of Naina Mathur who is suffering from the Tourette Syndrome, a nervous system disorder that forces an individual to make involuntary repetitive movements or sounds.

Rani finds it heart-warming to see such overwhelming reactions by the elderly audience.

“Also the young fans who have probably not seen my work in the last four years, just for them to go to the cinema halls and watch it, I think it’s a really nice thing,” she added.

Yash Raj Films’ “Hichki”, which is directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma, focuses on turning disadvantages into opportunities and staring down at challenges that life throws at one and ultimately winning over them.

Shah Rukh Khan is loving making ‘Zero’

Mumbai– Superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is loving and enjoying the making of his upcoming film “Zero”.

Shah Rukh on Thursday took to Twitter to thank the film’s director Aanand L. Rai for it.

“I am loving and living making ‘Zero’ the Film. Thanks Aanand L. Rai and the whole team for this. Only way to describe it is ‘I am growing up very fast into a child…very fast’,” he wrote.

Shah Rukh will be featuring as a dwarf. According to Rai, this is a story that celebrates the imperfections in one’s life.

The teaser, unveiled on January 1, showed Shah Rukh essaying a vertically challenged man dancing away at a party.

The film, releasing on December 21, also features Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The actors had last featured together in “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.

Yami Gautam takes up pole dancing for fitness

Mumbai– Actress Yami Gautam, who often shares her workout videos on social media, has now taken to pole dancing to stay fit.

The “Vicky Donor” and “Kaabil” game actress has joined celebrity teacher, Aarifa Bhinderwala’s pole dancing class.

“The whole idea came because of my love for fitness and dance and that is something I enjoy doing now. Pole dancing is a great way to work on your fitness ability and your dance. It challenges the fitness level a lot more. So I thought this could be something additional which until now I could not have imagined myself doing,” Yami said in a statement.

The new workout session for her is a part of her desire to experiment.

“Now, I am in a phase where I want to experiment, push myself and my limit and this thought only comes from one’s mind. Nobody put this thought in my head, it stems from my own will and passion,” she added.

Ali Abbas Zafar’s Instagram account hacked

Mumbai– Film director Ali Abbas Zafar says his Instagram account has been hacked and also informed that he was not on Snapchat.

“Hack alert, someone hacked my Instagram account, sorting it out also I am not on Snapchat, so if someone uses Snapchat under my name is the hacker. Have a good day,” Zafar tweeted.

On the work front, Zafar is busy with superstar Salman Khan starrer “Bharat”, which is slated to release on Eid 2019.

The film is an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film “Ode to My Father”, which depicted modern Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the life of an ordinary man.

It showcased events such as the Hungnam Evacuation during the 1950 Korean War, the government’s decision to dispatch nurses and miners to West Germany in the 1960s and the Vietnam War.

Hrithik Roshan urges children to be fearless

Mumbai– Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan in a motivational video on his social media account urged children to be fearless and try something different.

On the occasion of his elder son Hrehaan’s birthday, Hrithik posted the message on Twitter that reads, “To all our sons and daughters and to the child within us, ‘Darr se mat Darr’ usse age bad, kuch alaag kar”.

He also gave an example of a fear he faced earlier in life because of being a guy with six fingers.

Hrithik is currently in the midst of the shoot of his next film, “Super 30” where he is playing a math teacher.

Marina Kuwar learning Russian language for a film

Mumbai– Actress Marina Kuwar is learning the Russian language for an untitled film that also stars Akshay Kumar.

The film which is a remake of Hollywood movie “Million Dollar Baby”, is directed by A.R. Murugadoss, read a statement.

“It’s totally a different language for me. Russian itself is a tough language, with an immense challenge. For learning this language I’ve joined professionally Russian speaking classes as well as I’m surrounding myself with Russian movies and songs because of which I am getting a good knack on the language,” said Marina.

Marina will also be seen in “Haunted Evil Dead’ this year.

Live singing one of toughest things: Udit Narayan

Mumbai– Veteran singer Udit Narayan considers live singing to be one of the toughest things to do.

Udit, known for songs like “Pehla nasha”, “Kuch kuch hota hai” and “Kyo kisi ko”, will soon appear as a guest judge on “Rising Star 2”, which is a live singing reality show.

“Live singing is one of the most toughest things one can ever do, even professional singers get nervous at times. But the top eight contestants of ‘Rising Star 2’ have mesmerised the entire nation with their outstanding performance,” Udit said in a statement.

“They may not be professional singers but hats off to them for their confidence,” he added.

“Rising Star 2” is aired on Colors channel.

Shenaz to launch destination marketing company

Mumbai– Actress Shenaz Treasury is excited to launch her own destination marketing company called We Run The World.

“It’s my goal to showcase hotels, spas, destinations and countries that I love to the world. I do this by marrying my love for travel and my talent for hosting and producing content,” Shenaz, a former VJ, said in a statement.

“I like to actually experience each destination fully and my hands on approach and experiential content resonates with people. I am real. I am not just a sexy actor posing with perfect hair and make-up.

“I am real, I am honest, they identify with me. I’m thrilled to be able to share all my unique experiences with the world. At the moment. everyone still calls it Travel With Shenaz and the hashtag #travelwithshenaz is used by most travel enthusiasts around India. I am very excited to launch We Run The World,” she added.

Shenaz is known for featuring in films like “Ishq Vishk”, “Hum Tum” and “Delhi Belly”.

Excited to be part of wonderful film industry: Ahaan Pandey

New Delhi– Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey’s nephew Ahaan says he is excited to be part of the “wonderful” film industry and films like “Rockstar”, “3 Idiots” and “Chak De! India” showed him how versatile the industry is.

“I’m just excited to be a part of this wonderful industry. Films and acting has been something I’ve always been interested in, glam isn’t what attracted me to this, my love for the craft and film did! I’m excited for the destination and the journey already excites me,” Ahaan told IANS when asked if he is excited about all the glitter and buzz that the showbiz business gives to a new face.

So what kind of film would he like to be part of ?

“Films like ‘Rockstar’, ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Chak De! India’, have shown me how versatile our industry can be. I would love to work with directors of all sorts, I do not know yet which director would bring the best out in me, but that answer is something I can’t wait for,” he said.

Ahaan, who has been part of several short films in the past, has now associated with online fashion destination KOOVS.com.

Talking about it, he said: “KOOVS.com as a brand was something I always followed… this opportunity, just solidified my love for the brand.”

So how was the experience of shooting with a fashion and lifestyle brand?

“I feel shooting for a brand just shows you a different side of what magic a camera can do, it also gives you a lot of exposure to a camera which always helps. Also since shoots like these are more systematic and technical it teaches you a lot about profiles, and how you look on camera, and basically what works for you and what doesn’t,” he said.

Amaal, Armaan to revive ‘Ghar se nikalte hi’

Mumbai– Singer Armaan Malik and his brother and composer Amaal Mallik are coming up with their version of the song “Ghar se nikalte hi” from the 1996 film “Papa Kehte Hain”.

Produced by T-Series, the new song’s video was shot in Greece. It will show Armaan searching for his loved one.

“Bhushanji (Bhushan Kumar) had played this song to me in his office and he said he wanted me to do this song as my next single as it had this boy-next-door vibe to it and felt that I would fit it perfectly,” Armaan said in a statement.

“Amaal already knew this song and was a fan of the melody and the composer Rajesh Roshanji. When he learned that I also featured in the video, Amaal, without any hesitation said that he wants to work on it and give it his twist. From there on, the song just kept on getting grander and much more beautiful than what I had in mind for it,” he added.

Known for chartbusters like “Bol do na zara”, “Naina” and “Main hoon hero tera”, Amaal said: “I have tried to maintain the original essence of the song without tampering with it much. I’ve given it my style of production and also healthily contributed melodically.”

Armaan added that apart from the chorus line — “Ghar se nikalte hi, kuch door chalte hi raste mein hai uska ghar” — everything else is “completely fresh”.

The lyrics of the song have been penned by Kunal Verma.

The single will launch on T-Series’ YouTube channel on April 4. (IANS)
