Kareena shoots ‘fun sequence’ for ‘Naagin 3’

Mumbai– Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and her “Veere Di Wedding” co-stars Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania shot a special integration with the cast of “Naagin 3”. Actor Ankit Mohan says it’s going to be a fun sequence.

Ankit, who plays the role of Yuvi in “Naagin 3”, is a huge fan of Kareena.

“Her presence on screen is spectacular. I’ve always been enamoured by her beauty but now I’m even more of a fan after experiencing how down-to-earth and warm she is as a person,” Ankit said in a statement.

“She truly made me feel very comfortable while we were shooting the special integration. It’s going to be a fun sequence and I’m hoping I get a chance to shoot with her in the future again,” he added.

“Naagin 3” will premiere on Colors on Saturday.

Kriti Sanon doing ‘special song’ for ‘Kalank’

Mumbai– Kriti Sanon will be doing a “special song” for the upcoming film “Kalank” and the actress is excited.

Kriti on Friday took to Instgram to share a video. In it, the “Heropanti” actress was seen doing Kathak.

“Excited for this one! Happy to join team ‘Kalank’ for a super special song and my first with Dharma movies, Karan Johar!” she captioned the image.

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha.

Abhishek Varman will direct the “epic drama”, which will hit the screens on April 19, 2019. The film will be produced by Karan, Nadiadwala, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta. It is co-produced by Fox Star Studios.

Sanjay Dutt starts shooting for ‘Prasthaanam’ remake

Mumbai– Actor Sanjay Dutt has started shooting for the Hindi remake of the Telugu cult classic “Prasthaanam”.

Sanjay on Friday took to Twitter, where he shared a few photographs from the set. Actor Ali Fazal, Manisha Koirala and Manyata Dutt can be seen in the images.

“The first day, first shot of ‘Prasthaanam’. Even now, I feel excited about such new beginnings. All the best, team,” he captioned the images.

To be produced by Sanjay Dutt Productions, the film is being remade in Hindi by filmmaker Deva Katta, who also helmed the original. The shooting began on Friday, which is also Sanjay’s mother and late actress Nargis’ birth anniversary.

The film also stars Satyajeet and Amyra Dastur. Satyajeet essays the son of the character that Sanjay plays.

I’ve been fan of ‘Race’ franchise: Raja Kumari

Mumbai– Grammy nominated Indian-American songwriter Raja Kumari, also a rapper, has lent her voice to “Allah duhai hai”, the title track of Salman Khan-starrer “Race 3”. She says she has been a fan of the franchise.

“It was really fun to work with Pritam (composer) and his team to bring a new vibe to ‘Allah duhai hai’. I’ve been a fan of the ‘Race’ franchise and I am really excited for millions of people around the world to hear this song,” Raja said in a statement.

Directed by Remo D’souza, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, and Saqib Saleem.

It is the third instalment of “Race” film series and is set to release on June 15.

Great to work with talent powerhouse Ranbir: Vaani Kapoor

Mumbai– Actress Vaani Kapoor, who will be seen sharing screen space with actor Ranbir Kapoor in the upcoming film “Shamshera”, feels great to be working with a “powerhouse of talent”.

“As an actor, it is great to be working with a powerhouse of talent like Ranbir, an individual who I truly admire for his talent and whose movies I have always loved watching as an audience,” Vaani said in a statement.

The action adventure film, directed by Karan Malhotra, will see Vaani will play the character of the most desirable and sought after travelling performer from the heartland of India.

“It is a compliment that Karan (Malhotra) saw the potential in me to portray this character. ‘Shamshera’ is a dream project and I feel blessed to have an opportunity to be a part of it and portray such a different and interesting character,” she added.

The high-octane entertainer, produced by Yash Raj Films, promises “jaw-dropping action sequences”. It also stars Sanjay Dutt, who plays the merciless nemesis of Ranbir in the project.

“Shamshera” is set to go on floors end of 2018 and shooting will wrap by mid 2019.

Mumbai– Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he is ready to compete with actor Ranveer Singh over fashion statement.

Amitabh, 75, took to Instagram and a shared a photograph of himself sporting a purple shirt, a jarring navy blur blazer and purple pants.

“This is the ultimate limit of excess… Ready to compete with Ranveer Singh,” Amitabh captioned the image.

Nora Fatehi’s dance moves inspired from Didem

Actress Nora Fatehi’s dance moves in Nikhil Advani’s directorial “Satyamev Jayate”, are inspired from Turkish belly dancer Didem.

Didem is well known for her outfits and Nora wanted her costumes in the song to use some of those styles and cuts as in belly dancing it is crucial to have the right outfit especially those that give the dancer the freedom to glide through the floor.

“Didem is a marvel to look at when she dances and thus she’s a world renowned figure. I absolutely love doing belly dancing routine and anyone who follows the art knows who Didem is and she’s amazing at what she does,” Nora said in a statement.

She added: “When I was shooting for the song ‘Dilbar’ she was somebody I truly took inspiration from in putting together a well choreographed number.”

The song is scheduled to release this month.

We cherish family bonds: Irfan Pathan

Mumbai– Cricketer Irfan Pathan says his family cherishes bonds and their values very dearly.

Cricketers and brothers Yusuf and Irfan Pathan shot for an episode of the dance reality show “High Fever…Dance ka Naya Tevar”, a statement said.

Sharing his thoughts about being on the show, Irfan said: “Hailing from a joint family ourselves, we cherish family bonds and family values very dearly and this show is surely making family bonds stronger with dance.”

Instead of sharing few dance moments on stage, the brothers played cricket in a slow-motion style.
