Bollywood Roundup: John Abraham, Mouni Roy, Kareena Kapoor, and more…

John Abraham Shares AI Teaser for Upcoming Project, Draws Criticism

Mumbai — Bollywood actor John Abraham has shared the first look at an untitled upcoming project, but the AI-generated teaser drew criticism from social media users.

The video, posted on Instagram Thursday, depicts Abraham as a medieval sailor navigating violent waves.

“New Waters. New Winds. New Horizons. Setting sail into the unknown. Stay tuned,” he wrote.

Some users criticized the quality of the video. One commented, “Such poor AI,” while another wrote, “At least make it better if you’re using AI”.

Abraham, last seen in “Tehran,” is also preparing for “Force 3,” in which he will reprise his role as ACP Yashvardhan Singh. Directed by Bhav Dhulia, the action thriller will also feature Harshvardhan Rane in an undisclosed role.

“‘Force’ has always been a franchise I’ve believed in deeply. What makes it special for me is that it has a certain grit and a strong identity that audiences have connected with over the years. With Force 3, we’re taking that legacy forward in a big way. I’m also really excited to introduce Harsh as an action hero. He has the presence, the energy and the hunger for it, and I think audiences are going to enjoy watching him in this space,” Abraham said.

“Force 3” is produced by Abraham’s JA Entertainment and Sheel Kumar’s Karolina Corporation.

Mouni Roy Calls Working With Sanjay Kapoor a ‘Masterclass’

Mumbai — Actress Mouni Roy said working with Sanjay Kapoor on the revenge drama “Ab Hoga Hisaab” was a “masterclass” and described the show’s cast as a family.

Mouni Roy

“The entire team became family faster than I expected. Nimrit and I really connected off-camera. We’d end up chatting between shots about everything except the scene we’d just done, which I think is always a good sign. While Shaheer’s calm energy made every day on set feel easy,” Roy said.

She said Kapoor’s presence and disciplined performance style made working with him a valuable learning experience.

“By the end, it felt less like a shoot and more like a family. Working with Sanjay sir was a masterclass in itself. He has an incredible presence, but what stayed with me most was his stillness. He trusts silence, trusts the moment. Watching that discipline up close was a learning experience in itself,” she said.

Roy described “Ab Hoga Hisaab” as a morally complex story in which every character is hiding something and viewers are left questioning their loyalties.

Produced by Arré Studio, the Punjab-set series follows brothers Bobby and Bunty Manocha, whose lives are transformed by a fateful incident. It explores brotherhood, loyalty, sacrifice and revenge.

The series also stars Shaheer Sheikh, Avinash Mishra, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Harman Singha and Aasheema Vardaan. It is streaming on Amazon MX Player.
