When Janhvi met Dhoni, ‘he wasn’t walking but gliding’

Mumbai– Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’, shared her experience meeting the World Cup-winning Indian cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Janhvi attended a media event in the city on Wednesday, and told the press about her experience being in the company of the legendary cricketer.

She told the media stationed at a multiplex: “I and everyone here, I believe are huge fans of Mahendra Singh Dhoni sir. He has this aura which just sways you away. A few days ago, I was at a function with him. As I saw him moving around, I felt he wasn’t walking but gliding”.

She further mentioned how the cricketer’s conduct impressed her massively.

She added: “He didn’t just click selfies with people and walked off but he engaged in a conversation with them and treated everyone with utmost respect. An imminent personality like him being so humble speaks volumes about his character and his heart. It’s his aura and his conduct which is very inspiring.”

Mumbai– Bollywood’s chocolate boy Kartik Aaryan is an ardent fan of cricket. He said that it is not just a sport for him but a lifelong passion.

Kartik said: “Cricket isn’t just a sport for me; it’s a lifelong passion. I lived and breathed every moment of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 and look forward to watching Team India excel in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.”

The actor has become the face for the campaign ‘Free For All, Har Match Har Ball’. The recently released ad film for the campaign emphasises on Disney+ Hotstar’s ‘Free on mobile’ offering for the tournament enabling all the cricket fans across the country to never miss any cricketing action.

“Through this campaign, we aim to extend the reach of the sport to every corner of the nation, ensuring that our users can experience every thrilling moment of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for free on their mobile devices,” said a spokesperson for the streaming portal.

The first match will take place on June 2.

The ninth edition of the tournament will be hosted by West Indies and the US, with the event featuring 20 teams competing across 55 games for the right to be crowned ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 champions.

Kareena Kapoor is in awe of Meryl Streep, says ‘there is no one like you’

Mumbai– Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a post about Hollywood icon Meryl Streep and said that there is no one like her.

Kareena took to her Instagram story, where she shared a post about Streep at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. In the image, the icon is seen wearing a white pantsuit featuring high-waisted trousers and a blue-and-white striped shirt underneath her blazer.

“O Meryl there is absolutely no one like you,” Kareena wrote.

The actor received the honorary Palme d’Or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday. According to variety.com, Streep was greeted by a thunderous two-minute standing ovation.

The Oscar-winning actress was so overcome with emotion that she first pretended to walk off the stage, but eventually began to dance to the applause.

Streep had thanked Cannes in her speech for welcoming her back after over three decades, with her last appearance being for 1989’s ‘Evil Angels’.

Kajol shares ‘Wednesday wisdom’, shows ‘depth’ of her character

Mumbai– Actress Kajol, on Wednesday, shared a wisdom quote about being “deep”, saying she has decided that the weight on her scale simply shows the depth of her character.

An avid social media user, Kajol, who has 16.9 million followers on Instagram, took to the Stories section and shared a ‘Wednesday Wisdom’ quote: “I’ve decided today that the weight on my scale simply shows the depth of my character! Tomorrow I may decide to be a super shallow person but today I am DEEP! #wednesdaywisdom.”

In another Story, the ‘Baazigar’ fame actress re-shared a quote which is an ode to a fearless woman.

Richa Chadha’s early pregnancy cravings were all about ‘tomatoes & kombucha’

Mumbai– Richa Chadha, who is all set to welcome her first bundle of joy with her husband Ali Fazal, spoke about her pregnancy cravings. The actress said that it varies from person to person as every pregnancy is unique.

Richa told IANS: “A lot is said about pregnancy craving in women. I think they vary from person to person because every pregnancy is unique.”

For Richa, the first trimester was all about healthy food.

“In the first trimester I had a lot of cravings for healthy food items such as raw tomatoes, salty foods and olives,” she said.

The actress then craved “cooler things.”

“After that, it changed to cooler things such as coconut water, ‘nimbu paani’, and sometimes a lot of Kombucha,” she added.

However, the cravings have subsided and the actress now only has “home-cooked meals.”

“As I am nearing the third trimester, I feel that the cravings have settled down because the size of the stomach seems to have decreased due to the fact that the baby takes up a lot of space. I like to eat mostly home-cooked, clean food… Lots of fruits, salads and nuts and dal chawal,” she said.

The actress added: “At times when I have a sweet craving, I might indulge in some ice cream or yogurt or the seasonal fruits, which are mangoes currently.”

It was in February when Richa and Ali announced on social media that they are expecting their first child. The couple got married in 2022 after dating for a long time.

Nawazuddin believes Aamir & he have a bond of ‘mutual respect, unspoken understanding’

Mumbai– Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is known for ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Sacred Games’, ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’, ‘Black Friday’ and ‘The Lunchbox’, has shared his experience of working with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in ‘Sarfarosh’ and ‘Talaash: The Answer Lies Within’.

The film, which recently clocked 25 years of its release, saw Nawaz in a small role when he is interrogated by the cops from Aamir’s team. From that scene with his humble beginnings in Bollywood, Nawaz went on to work with Aamir in ‘Talaash’.

Recalling his experiences on the sets of ‘Sarfarosh’ and ‘Talaash’, Nawaz said: “Sharing the screen with Aamir in both Sarfarosh and Talaash has been a remarkable journey. Off the sets, our bond was just as strong, full of mutual respect and an unspoken understanding.”
