Hrithik Roshan turns 45, ex-wife Sussanne says ‘shine on’

Mumbai– As actor Hrithik Roshan turned 45 on Thursday, his former wife Sussanne Khan called him her “best friend forever” and “soulmate”, even as several others from the film fraternity wished the “great son” and “extraordinary father” all the best.

Sussanne took to Instagram, where she shared multiple photographs of herself along with Hrithik, who she married in 2000. The couple divorced in 2014 and have two sons, Hridhaan and Hrehaan Roshan.

Despite their split, the two continue to be friends.

“Happiest happy birthday to my BFF… from and through this world and onto other realms. The force will always be with you. Shine on unlimited, this man, best BFF… best dad in the world… Soulmate,” she captioned the image.

Sonakshi to start ‘Dabangg 3’ shoot soon

Mumbai– After wrapping up “Kalank”, actress Sonakshi Sinha says she will soon start shooting for “Dabangg 3”.

At the moment, the actress is off to Macau for a magazine shoot.

After a short break in Sri Lanka to ring in the New Year, Sonakshi stepped straight into work mode as she resumed a brief schedule for the shoot of “Mission Mangal”, which also stars Akshay Kumar. Soon after, she flew down to Bhopal to complete her bit for multi-starrer “Kalank”.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2019. I have just finished shooting for ‘Kalank’ and will resume ‘Mission Mangal’ once back from Macau and will start ‘Dabangg 3’ soon,” Sonakshi said in a statement.

Superstar Salman Khan will be back as Chulbul Pandey with the third part of the “Dabangg 3”. Arbaaz Khan had said that he ants to release his production venture “Dabangg 3” at the end of this year.

There’s no substitute to hard work: Madhuri Dixit

Mumbai– Actress Madhuri Dixit Nene says she has tried to give her best in every role in her life — right from being an actor to a mother to a wife.

“I was fortunate to get good songs and collaborate with amazing choreographers to create such memorable songs which are loved and enjoyed till date so much,” Madhuri said in a statement.

“And there is no substitute to hard work. To succeed, 2 per cent is genius and 98 per cent is hard work. I have tried to give my best in every role in my life, right from being an actor, dancer, mother, wife,” added the actress, who is married to Shriram Nene.

Madhuri, who shares two sons with her husband, expressed her views when she became a part of StarPlus’ show “Dance+4”.

“One of the most important aspects of dancing is growing and practicing every day,” she said.

Nora’s one of the most hard working humans I’ve met: Varun

Mumbai– Actor Varun Dhawan has praised actress Nora Fatehi, who will be seen in Remo D’Souza’s upcoming dance film with him, saying she is one of the most hard working and driven human beings he has met.

“She’s one of the most hard working and driven human beings that I have ever meet. Welcome to the gang. Going to feed you cheese and dance with you. Hey Nora Fatehi we going to kick up a storm,” Varun tweeted on Wednesday.

The yet-untitled film also stars Shraddha Kapoor. This will be the second time Varun and Shraddha will be seen sharing screen space after “ABCD 2” in 2015.

Other details related to the film are still under wraps.

Richa Chadha takes on 12 avatars for ‘Shakeela’ calendar

Mumbai– Actress Richa Chadha features in 12 different avatars, striking poses inspired by posters of pulp movies from the 1990s, in a calendar meant to promote her upcoming film “Shakeela”.

Each of the month has Richa posing in a new avatar with a completely made up poster of a fictional movie name and elements thereafter. The calendar will be launched soon.

Richa said in a statement: “Even though our film is currently in post-production, we wanted to do something special ahead of the film’s release.

“The team thought we should pay this homage to her (Shakeela) and the films that she has been a part of. It is quirky and tongue in cheek, so we are aware many people may not understand it.

“But there’s an underbelly to cinema and it’s often crazy and colourful. I hope people find the humour we did in this calendar and enjoy the world of these 1990s’ pulp film

Priya Malik excited about ‘Nazar’

Mumbai– Actress Priya Malik is excited to take on the witch avatar for her role on TV show “Nazar”.

The actress will be seen as a ‘two-headed daayan’.

“When I was approached for the role, I was very thrilled to explore a role that is unseen and unheard of on Indian television. I play a ‘daayan’ who is very powerful and will bring an unexpected twist on the show,” Priya said in a statement.

“Being my debut in Hindi fiction, I wanted to choose a show and a character that creates an intrigue and gets the audiences hooked onto their screens and that attracted me to the character,” she added.

The actress says the StarPlus show “celebrates untamed energy, in its strongest form through its various female characters”.

“Viewers will see me in a never-seen-before avatar on screen. I hope audiences shower my performance with the same love and appreciation as they did before,” she added.

‘Stree’ director excited to direct A.R. Rahman

Mumbai– “Stree” director Amar Kaushik is set to direct a promo for reality television show “The Voice India” and he is most excited about working with Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman, who will be seen as the show’s ‘super guru’.

“I’m elated to be associated with StarPlus for a show like ‘The Voice’. I was excited to direct the promo as I have been following the international counterparts of the show and loved the concept of finding the ultimate singing sensation, solely based on their voice,” Kaushik said in a statement.

“As a filmmaker, it is gratifying to work with the music maestro A.R. Rahman and it cannot get any bigger than that. The promo will definitely strike the right chord with the viewers and keep them eagerly anticipating for the show,” he added.

Mohit Malik doesn’t let injury get in way of work

Mumbai– Actor Mohit Malik got six stitches after getting injured while shooting for a sequence of TV show “Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala”. But he didn’t let the injury stop him from working.

Mohit, currently seen as Sikandar Singh Gill in the StarPlus show, was injured on the set on Wednesday evening while shooting for a scene with Anjali Anand, who is seen as his on-screen wife Lovely.

“I was shooting for a scene with Anjali where she was choking and I had to save her. In order to do that, I had to clear all the things from the table in one go. The scene went well but I didn’t realise that my finger had started bleeding,” Mohit said in a statement.

The shoot was stalled for two hours.(IANS)
