Diljit Dosanjh on playing a Punjab cop in ‘Jatt & Juliet 3’: ‘They have a very sweet style’

Mumbai– Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, who was present at the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Jatt & Juliet 3’, opened up about playing a cop in the movie and shared how the attitude and style of Punjab Police is very different, saying he has tried to copy as much as he can.

At the trailer launch, Diljit wore a brown coat, matching trousers, and a white shirt. He was accompanied by his co-star Neeru Bajwa and other team members.

Talking about his role as a police officer, Diljit said: “The attitude of the Punjab Police is very different from others. Just as the Maharashtra police have their own attitude and style. Similarly, the Punjab Police has an altogether different style. So, we have seen that a lot in our childhood, like you are going on a scooter, you see Punjab Police every day.”

“They have a very sweet, witty humour, and style. We cannot copy each and everything, but we tried to copy as much as we can,” said Diljit, who is known for his work in movies like ‘Honsla Rakh’, and ‘Mukhtiar Chadha’ among others.

Recalling an incident from the shoot, the ‘Arjun Patiala’ actor added, “I remember we were in costume and shooting in Canada. I went into a mall to use the washroom, and I met an Indian man who said to me, ‘Tussi ethe bhi aa gaye’ (You have come here too).”

‘Jatt & Juliet 3’ is written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu and produced by Balvinder Singh, Dinesh Auluck, Gunbir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Singh Sidhu, and Diljit Dosanjh.

The film also stars Jasmin Bajwa, Rana Ranbir, BN Sharma, Nasir Chinyoti, Akram Udas, Hardip Gill, Mohini Toor, and Sukh Pindiala.

It is set to be released on June 28.

Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra launch Usha Kakade’s production house, welcome her into industry

Mumbai– Bollywood multihyphenate Karan Johar and celebrated fashion designer Manish Malhotra unveiled the logo of the production house, Usha Kakade Productions, spearheaded by Usha Kakade, a builder and dedicated social activist.

The event attracted several prominent figures from the Hindi and Marathi film industries, including Isha Koppikar, Rinku Rajguru, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, Sumedh Mudgalkar, Tanishaa Mukerji, Sharmila Thackeray, Abhijeet Khedekar, Smita Gondkar, Sonali Kulkarni, Gauahar Khan, and Ashoke Pandit. It was held at the plush Taj Lands End in the Bandra area of Mumbai.

Karan praised Kakade’s vision and dedication, stating, “I am extremely excited to see what Usha Kakade Productions has in store for us. Usha will always have my support, and I am sure Usha Kakade Productions is going to be a tremendous success.”

He also expressed his anticipation for UKP’s first film, ‘Vicky – Full of Love’, underscoring his appreciation for Marathi cinema.

Manish applauded Kakade for her foray into film production, saying, “I am absolutely looking forward to Usha’s new venture. Just like in all other areas, Usha, under her banner, Usha Kakade Productions, is going to win all hearts.”

The production house reflects Usha Kakade’s commitment to both the arts and humanitarian causes.

In her address, Kakade expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries present. She underscored the importance of this new chapter in her life and her excitement about the potential of her production house to create inspiring and thought-provoking content.

“I am thrilled to kickstart this venture and embark on a new journey as a producer. I am confident it will be successful with the blessings and good wishes of Karan Johar,” she said.

With an illustrious 18-year career in the construction industry, Usha Kakade is also the founder of the Gravittus Foundation, which has impacted society by educating over 500,000 children about safe and unsafe touch, providing dental checkups to 80,000 children, and facilitating eye checkups and surgeries for 110,000 children.

The foundation has also collaborated with UNICEF to further educational and healthcare initiatives.

The event also saw the announcement of the first Marathi movie under the Usha Kakade Productions banner, titled ‘Vicky – Full of Love’.

The film stars Heymal Ingley and Sumedh Mudhalkar in the lead roles and is helmed by Tejpal Jayant Wagh.

Countdown starts for Sonakshi-Zaheer marriage: Sangeet to be held on June 19

Mumbai– Actress Sonakshi Sinha and her beau Zaheer Iqbal are the latest couple in B-town to tie the knot. Ahead of their wedding on June 23, the couple will have a Sangeet ceremony on June 19 in Mumbai.

According to unconfirmed reports, their Sangeet ceremony will be a close-knit affair and will be held on June 19 in Mumbai.

Sonakshi and Zaheer reportedly met at a party hosted by Salman Khan.

The two even worked together in the film ‘Double XL’, which was released in 2022 and also starred Huma Qureshi.

Rumours of their relationship began circulating in 2022 when Zaheer wrote “I love you” on social media, to which Sonakshi replied, “Love you.”

The couple has reportedly been living together for a year and is set to make it official at their wedding venue, Bastian – At The Top, in the Dadar area of Mumbai.

Mumbai– Actress Shilpa Saklani, who has joined the cast of ‘Parineetii’ shared insights into her role of Ambika Devi Singhania, calling her a fierce, unstoppable woman, saying her arrival is a game-changer for the show.

The ‘Bigg Boss 7’ fame Shilpa said: “I am thrilled to breathe life into such an amazing character in ‘Parineetii’. I am playing the role of a fierce, unstoppable woman – Ambika. Anupam Kher calls Rajinikanth ‘God’s gift to mankind’ in new video

Mumbai– Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared a video of himself meeting Tamil megastar Rajinikanth at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony in New Delhi.

Anupam took to his Instagram on Tuesday and shared the video in which he can be seen in the company of the Tamil megastar.

Anupam also expressed his admiration for ‘Thalaivar’.

The video shows Anupam walking beside Rajinikanth as they are surrounded by security guards and many other people who were present at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony.

He then heaped praise on Rajinikanth, saying, “The one and only, Mr. Rajini-the-kanth! The one and only! The God’s gift to mankind! Waah (wow).”

A shy Rajinikanth looked into the camera and smiled without saying anything.

Anupam wrote in the caption, “God’s gift to mankind! The one and only – #Rajnikanth! Jai Ho! (sic)”.

The oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister Modi and his cabinet was held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the national capital.

The event was attended by the who’s who of the country from different walks of life.
