Anushka joins Virat in Miami ahead of West Indies series

Miami– Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma has joined her star cricketer husband Virat Kohli in Miami, ahead of India’s West Indies series, and the two seem to spend a great time together.

A series of photographs of the couple have taken social media by storm.

In the images, the couple is seen seated inside what looks like an airport bus. Anushka is in a black-and-white striped shirt while Virat is casually dressed in a white T-shirt.

In the other image, the “Phillauri” star can be seen sporting a white-and-blue striped pant suit and they pose with fans.

The 31-year-old actress had previously accompanied Kohli at the India World Cup in England. They returned home after India exited the tournament.

On the acting front, Anushka was last seen onscreen in “Zero” along side superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.

It’s unfortunate: Nitesh Tiwari on Zaira quitting Bollywood

New Delhi– It was only a few weeks ago when young Kashmiri actress Zaira Wasim said that she had decided to quit the film industry as her “relationship with my religion was threatened”. Director Nitesh Tiwari, who introduced her to the industry with his blockbuster “Dangal”, sees her decision as an unfortunate one but says it’s completely her call.

Zaira became famous overnight after starring in the 2016 film. Her announcement came as a shock to many.

“She has every right to live her life the way she wants to. It’s unfortunate (her decision to quit films)… such a talented actress is walking away, but yeah we have to live with it,” Tiwari told IANS here.

“But at the end of the day, it’s her call… who else rather than her to decide what she wants to do with her life,” he added.

While Zaira will be soon seen in “The Sky is Pink”, Tiwari is looking forward to the release of his directorial “Chhichhore”. Its trailer will be out on August 4.

Twinkle’s witty prescription to keep ‘pesky’ kids at bay

Mumbai– Writer-producer Twinkle Khanna has shared a hilarious post note about “a middle-aged model’s stellar tip” to “keep pesky kids at bay.”

The 45-year-old shared a picture from one of her photoshoots on Instagram and wrote: “A middle-aged model’s stellar tip – Return from a shoot to find 3 small kids lolling on your bed – Threaten to rip out your eyeballs first and then theirs – Remove your lenses and fake eyelashes, place onto their palms and watch them scream and run.

Twinkle, who was a big star in the nineties and the 2000s, retired at her prime to marry superstar Akshay Kumar. She is the daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, and has featured in films such as “Barsaat”, “Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega”, “Mela” and “Badshah” among others.

She has produced movies like “Pad Man”, “Tees Maar Khan” and “Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty”, starring husband Akshay.

Zeeshan plays supportive husband in ‘Mission Mangal’

Mumbai– Actor Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, popular as the on-screen buddy of superstars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Dhanush, will now essay the role of Taapsee Pannu’s supportive husband in “Mission Mangal”.

The “Article 15” actor has a cameo role in “Mission Mangal”, which see actresses Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen and Kirti Kulhari recreating the iconic all-women who contributed to Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) of November 2013.

“I’m playing Taapsee’s supportive husband. It is a special appearance tha required about two days’ shoot, but an important character. The character does something that is very important to the film and the concept,” Zeeshan said.

“Mission Mangal” will hit the screens on August 15.

Vaani Kapoor wishes ‘War’ director on his birthday

Mumbai– Actress Vaani Kapoor has wished her “War” director Siddharth Anand on his birthday on Thursday, and said that it was an absolute pleasure working with him.

Vaani on Thursday shared a photograph of herself with the director and captioned it: “A lot of warm wishes and a lot of love for you Sid on your special day. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you and the countless memories we’ve created I will always cherish. Happy Happy Happy Birthday Captain! Siddharth Anand.”

The actress wowed the audience with her stunning bikini body in the teaser “War” and said that she worked a lot on herself to get the toned look for the film.

In “War”, actor Tiger Shroff will be pitted against his real-life idol Hrithik Roshan.

The film is set to be a visual spectacle for quintessential action lovers, who will witness Hrithik and Tiger pull off jaw-dropping stunts.

Produced by Yash Raj Films, the high-octane film is to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on October 2.

Kunaal Roy Kapur opposite Sanjay Dutt’s niece in ‘Mushkil’

Mumbai– Actor Kunaal Roy Kapur will be seen romancing Sanjay Dutt’s niece Nazia Hussain in the upcoming film “Mushkil”.

Sharing the glimpse of the actors’ on screen chemistry, the makers recently unveiled the romantic song “Yun hi nahin” from the film.

“I was worried at first because the song was romantic but I knew that comedy would be on top of my mind. When I heard the song, however, I knew that I should try and live up to the faith that director Rajiv S. Ruia had in me. It was not an easy task for Nazia. While I was in a suit, she had to shoot in extreme cold in glamorous outfits,” Kunaal said.

Shooting in cold temperatures in Greece was challenging for Nazia, who earlier featured in movies such as “Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai”, “Nee Jathaga Nenundali” and “Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle”.

“It was not easy and at times, my teeth were chattering when I had to emote my romantic best. Between shoots, the unit rushed to cover me with rugs,” she added.

Directed by Rajiv S Ruia , “Mushkil” is a supernatural thriller, which also stars Rajniesh Duggal and Pooja Bisht.

Katrina Kaif’s ‘palat’ moment

Mumbai– Actress Katrina Kaif has reserved a gorgeous reaction for anyone who says “palat” (turn) to her.

On Wednesday, the actress shared a photograph of herself on Instagram, where she is seen sitting on a bench. She is seen striking a half-turned pose, dressed in a black-and-white spaghetti-strapped crop top teamed with high waisted faded blue jeans.

Katrina captioned the image: “When someone says ‘palat’.”

On the acting front, Katrina will next be seen in “Sooryavanshi” directed by Rohit Shetty.

“Sooryavanshi” is the new addition in Shetty’s cop drama universe after the his “Singham” films and “Simmba”.

In “Sooryavanshi”, Akshay essays the role of Veer Suryavanshi, a character introduced as an anti-terrorist squad officer in the 2018 hit, “Simmba”, starring Ranveer Singh.

“Sooryavanshi” is scheduled to hit the screens on March 27 next year. (IANS)
