Will give my best shot on ‘Nach Baliye’: Anita

Mumbai– Actress Anita Hassanandani, who is all set to show her dance skills alongwith husband Rohit Reddy on season nine of the celebrity dance reality show, “Nach Baliye”, says she wants to do justice to her performances.

“I love to dance and I always wanted to be a part of ‘Nach Baliye’ but couldn’t take it up earlier owing to prior commitments. Now that I have more time on hand with less commitments, I can focus entirely on the show and do justice to all the performances,” Anita said.

The ninth season of the Star Plus show is being produced by superstar Salman Khan.

Sharing how she is preparing for the show, Anita said : “I am dancing after a long time, so I am right now working on myself and warming up my body. I’m trying to give my best in everything my choreographers are teaching me.”

The new season will have five former couples participating along with five couples who are still together.

Ram Kapoor’s extreme weight loss transformation stuns netizens

Mumbai– Actor Ram Kapoor, who is known for his roles in television shows “Kasam Se” and “Bade Achhe Lagte Hain”, has recently shared photographs of his major weight loss transformation, leaving netizens stunned.
The 45-year-old took to Instagram and uploaded a string of images of his lean physique by juxtaposing them with the old photographs.

“Wassup peeps!! Long time no see,” he captioned the photographs in which he can be seen sporting a salt and pepper look.

Social media users including his friends from the film and television industry were amazed to see the actor’s extreme transformation.

Actor Ronit Bose Roy commented: “Amazing dude. Finally my brother. So happy.”

Actress Kishwer Merchant wrote: “You’re back to how you looked in ‘Dhadkan’.”

Tannaz Irani complimented Ram saying it is an “amazing achievement”.

Ram’s wife and his co-star from “Ghar Ek Mandir” Gautami Kapoor seems to be in awe of his new look.

She wrote: “Hottie”.

However, some of his fans are missing his old heavy look.

One netizen wrote: “Amazing change sir…Inspirational change… Hats off to you… But then too purane Ram Kapoor hi ache lagte the.”

Clash with Akshay’s film doesn’t bother me: John

Mumbai– John Abraham’s “Batla House” clashes with Akshay Kumar’s “Mission Mangal” on Independence Day 2019, setting up a box-office tussle between the two stars who have particularly cashed in on the patriotism genre in Bollywood lately.

John says that he does not feel any pressure and his friendship with Akshay won’t be affected by the business of their films.

Notably, last year on August 15, John’s “Satyameva Jayate” clashed with Akshay’s “Gold”.

“Make some noise for the desi boys! What else can I say?” John laughed, when asked if clashing with Akshay for the second Independence Day weekend in a row would affect their equation, personally or professionally.

“Akshay and I are dear friends. In fact, day before yesterday we messaged each other, and there is absolutely no problem. We are just releasing two films on the same day. There is a lot of space and audience is getting to choose from the best. I can say that film is really good,” he added.

Was pregnant with Alia during shoot but unaware: Soni

Mumbai– Veteran actress Soni Razdan on Wednesday took a stroll down memory lane, recalling her 1993 film “Gumrah” and how she had no idea she was pregnant with Alia while shooting the film.

Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, “Gumrah” starred late Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.

“One of my favourite films and highly appreciated roles…I was pregnant with Alia at the time and didn’t know it yet. And did that scene where I smoked so many cigarettes,” Soni tweeted .

She also reminsiced working with Sridevi.

“It was a pleasure to act with the incredible Sridevi. Highly cherished memories,” Soni added.

#Relationshipgoals: Deepika, Ranveer hold hands in new image

Mumbai– Actress Deepika Padukone shared a romantic image in which she holds her actor husband Ranveer Singh’s hand and called it “complex simplicity”.

Deepika on Tuesday night shared a photograph in which the star couple are holding hands. She captioned it: “There’s something so real about holding hands, some kind of complex simplicity, saying so much by doing so little…”

This is not the first time the two have shown affection for each other on social media. Ranveer keeps commenting on the “Cocktail” actress’s photographs and Deepika too makes updates about the “Gully Boy” actor.

On the work front, Deepika has also wrapped up “Chhapaak”, in which she plays the role an acid attack survivor. The film also stars Vikrant Massey and is slated for release on January 10, 2020.

She will also be seen sharing screen with Ranveer in Kabir Khan’s “’83”.

The movie traces India’s historic victory at the 1983 cricket World Cup. Ranveer plays the team’s captain Kapil Dev while Deepika essays his wife Romi.

Salman Khan grooves on ‘Urvasi’ with Prabhudheva

Mumbai– Superstar Salman Khan has shared a video of himself dancing to the tunes of “Urvasi urvasi” with dance icon Prabhudheva.

Actor Kichcha Sudeep of “Eega” and filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala are also seen shaking legs with the “Dabangg” star in the video shared on Twitter on Tuesday.

Salman captioned it: “Dance class from the master himself Prabhudheva, Kiccha Sudeep, Sajid Nadiadwala.”

“Urvasi Urvasi” is a Tamil-language song, which was later dubbed into Telugu and Hindi composed by musical maestro A.R. Rahman for the 1994 film “Kadhalan”. The Hindi version of the “Kadhalan” soundtrack is called “Humse Hai Muqabala”. It inspired the title of Rajsirpy’s 1996 film “Take It Easy Urvasi”.

The 53-year-old star has become very active on social media lately. He has been giving his fans a sneak peek into his personal life, work schedules and fitness regime.

The actor, who was last seen in “Bharat”, is currently shooting for “Dabangg 3”. Salamn will also be sharing screen with actress Alia Bhatt in “Inshallah”.

Janhvi shoots for horror flick near Agra

Agra– Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor is shooting near the Taj city for romantic horror flick “Rooh-Afza”, and there is a huge hullabaloo among the people to catch a glimpse of their beloved Sridevi’s daughter.

With all the action currently on in Bateshwar, 70 km from here, large crowds turned up on Tuesday to see the actors in action at the main entrance gate of the Bateshwar temple.

The spot is famous for its 101 Shiva temples in a row along Yamuna bank. Besides, it is also has the ancestral home of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the Shauripur Jain shrine.
