Women can work in harmony: Amyra

Mumbai– Amyra Dastur, who has worked with female directors like Sonam Nair and Leena Yadav and fellow actresses like Shweta Tripathi and Sapna Pabbi, says women can work in harmony and create moments of magic.

Amyra, Mallika Dua, Shweta and Sapna had teamed up for “The Trip 2”.

“It’s a bittersweet ending. I love my girls and I am glad that I’ve made three amazing new girlfriends. This show was my first foray into the digital world and I couldn’t have asked for a better project,” Amyra said in a statement.

“For me this show symbolises the fact that women can come together, work in harmony and create moments of magic. I was hoping that the show would do well, but the fact that every episode has trended on YouTube and the viewership is increasing hour by hour, as an actor I couldn’t have asked for more,” she added.

The last episode of “The Trip 2” will be out on all Bindass Originals’ platforms on Friday.

Urvashi to perform flamenco for first time on show

Mumbai– Actress Urvashi Rautela says she will perform the “very tough” dance form flamenco on a show for the first time.

She will showcase her dance skills in the digital dance show “The Dance Project”.

“This is the first time that my audience will see me dance in this style. Flamenco is a very tough form and one needs to understand it well. I studied about it and practiced for long before actually getting to doing it,” Urvashi said in a statement.

The show gives a common platform to dancers from Bollywood, TV and YouTube to try new dance forms and collaborate.

The episodes are aired on Sony Music India’s YouTube channel.

Kapil Sharma’s ‘wedding crasher’ days

Mumbai– Comedian-actor-producer Kapil Sharma, who will marry his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12, has opened up about attending weddings during his college days just to eat good food.

He made an appearance on the show “Indian Idol 10” where he spoke about his college days when he gate-crashed weddings with his friends in Delhi, read a statement.

Kapil said: “During our college days, my friends and I used to go to weddings to eat good food. Once we got caught red-handed by an uncle. My friend made up a story saying that the food in our college mess got over and that we didn’t have anything to eat.

“Although we had eaten the food by that time, uncle insisted on eating and dancing. We had twice the amount of food. Then we danced also. This is one experience I can never forget.”

Anupam meets NYC Mayor

New York– Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has met New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and his wife Chirlane McCray, who he said love his “New Amsterdam” show.

Thanking the couple for the warm welcome at thier Gracie Mansion residence, the actor tweeted: “It was a delightful learning experience to meet and spend some time with you. I love it that you both love our series ‘New Amsterdam’. Jai Ho.”

“New Amsterdam” is inspired by Bellevue, the oldest public hospital in America. It follows the brilliant and charming doctor Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold), who sets out to tear up the bureaucracy and provide exceptional care.

Anupam is playing Vijay Kapoor, a doctor. The show premiered on September 25 and has had a strong start in ratings.

Keep your head down and work hard: Katrina’s advice to Isabelle Kaif

Mumbai– Actress Isabelle Kaif, who is set to make her Hindi film debut with her forthcoming film ‘Time to Dance’, has said her elder sister Katrina Kaif has advised her to keep her head down and work hard to sustain in the film industry.

Isabelle Kaif was interacting with media after becoming brand ambassador of Bandhan Jewels on Thursday in Mumbai.

Isabelle Kaif is younger sister of Hindi film’s leading actress Katrina Kaif. “Keep your head down and work hard,” Isabelle said when asked what advice her elder sister has given her before starting her career in films.

In ‘Time to Dance’, Sooraj Pancholi reportedly plays character of a street dancer and Isabelle Kaif plays character of a ballroom latin dancer.

“It was great,” said Isabelle about working with Sooraj Pancholi. “He is really a good dancer and is hard working. We had great time shooting for the film with our director Stanley D’Costa. Everyone working in the film was very passionate about it.”

Katrina Kaif plays role of an actress in Anand L. Rai’s forthcoming film ‘Zero’. “I was very excited by the trailer. I feel everyone is eager to see her in this new avatar and a new role so, I also can’t wait to see the film,” said Isabelle.

‘Time to Dance’ is a dance-film directed by Stanley D’Costa. It is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Remo D’Souza. It features Sooraj Pancholi, Isabelle Kaif and Waluscha De Sousa in the lead roles.

Collaboration helps broaden horizon, says rapper Badshah

Mumbai– Bollywood music composer and rapper Badshah, who has collaborated with international music group Now United and performed together for the first time in Mumbai on Thursday evening, says collaborating with new artistes from across the globe helps one grow as an artiste.

“As an artiste, I strongly believe that it is good to collaborate, as it helps broaden your horizon. Through ‘How We Do It’ track, Now United and I have been able to learn from each other, share experiences and encourage each other to create better art, and we are very excited to share this with all our fans.

“Pepsi has always enabled young, upcoming talent and through them, I am getting this fantastic chance to collaborate with 14 young people from across the globe,” Badshah said in a statement.

The performance that took place at the High Street Phoenix here was presented by PepsiCo.

The collaboration between Badshah and Now United for the song is part of this aim to provide emerging artistes with a powerful stage to promote their stories, share their art and connect with new and existing fans.
