Debutante Amrin Qureshi: ‘Sridevi has always inspired me’

Mumbai– Filmmaker and producer Sajid Qureshi’s daughter Amrin Qureshi, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Bad Boy’, said that her biggest inspiration as an actor has always been the late Bollywood actress Sridevi.

Speaking about her inspiration, Amrin said: “Coming from Hyderabad, I used to watch a lot of Sridevi ma’am’s films. I have always looked up to her because of her charisma and her diverse expressions.”

Amrin added that she has learned a lot from the ‘Nagina’ actress in terms of her acting skills, her choice of projects and also as a person.

“She has always inspired me through her film choices and her performance in all her iconic songs. I have heard how reserved she was off screen and that’s how I am as a person, hence I relate to her at a personal level too,” added Amrin.

The film also marks the debut of Mithun Chakraborty’s son Namashi Chakraborty. Helmed by director Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Sajid Qureshi and Anjum Qureshi, ‘Bad Boy’ is all set to release on April 28.

Pooja Hegde stuns as Salman’s love interest in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai…’ trailer

Mumbai– Pooja Hegde, who was last seen in Ranveer Singh’s theatrical dud ‘Cirkus’, is set to share the big screen with Salman Khan in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.

The actress will play the romantic interest of Salman’s character and her character serves as a pivot to the film’s story as all the action and drama unfolds when fellow southern star Jagapathi Babu’s villain goes in hot pursuit of her brother, played by Daggubati Venkatesh, the Telugu star who’s garnering eyeballs with the streaming show ‘Rana Naidu’, and Bhumika Chawla.

Pooja’s chemistry with Salman is bound to stir up the audience’s anticipation as the romance between her and Salman’s characters fills the screen with vibrancy.

The actress said: “Working on ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ was an absolute blast for me. My character is very special to me. She’s super fun and full of life, and I hope people will enjoy my performance.”

The film will also see cameos by ‘RRR’ star Ram Charan and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh.

For Shehnaaz Gill, self-love is more important than Salman Khan

Mumbai– Punjabi actress-singer Shehnaaz Gill, who is awaiting the release of “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan”, her big-ticket film, has declared with her characteristic candour that self-love matters most to her.

Gill, who became popular after “Bigg Boss 14”, especially because of her reported off-screen romance with the late Sidharth Shukla, said she has known Salman Khan for many years and shares a good camaraderie with him, but nothing trumps self-love for the actress.

Gill also appeared on “Bigg Boss” as a guest star in seasons 15 and 16.

Speaking to the media at the film’s trailer launch, Shehnaaz said: “I didn’t feel nervous at all while working on the film. In fact, I love how I look in the final output of the film.”

She said: “Khud ko dekh ke achcha lagta hai. Pehle apne aap se pyaar karna chaahiye na, baaki baad mein Salman sir aur baaki sab (How good it is to look at oneself. It’s so good to love oneself. For me, I’m my most favourite person, then comes Salman sir and everyone else).”

Scheduled to hit the big screen on April 21, coinciding with Eid, “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan” is a Hindi action drama directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films.
