Mumbai– Actress Taapsee Pannu confesses being a fan of Hrithik Roshan and says she will “wait and conspire” to ensure she gets to work with the Bollywood superstar.
“I am a fan of Hrithik Roshan. I went up to him on Dia’s (Mirza) birthday and confessed that I really wanted to click a selfie with him. But instead of clicking a picture right now, I will wait and conspire that we do a movie together, and I’ll take my chance then,” Taapsee said.
Taapsee also opened up about her other idols. She said she is a huge fan of all sportspersons who make the nation proud.
“I really admire our country’s sports personalities, too, and I would love to click pictures with them. They are real heroes of our nation,” she opened up, on “The Kapil Sharma Show”.
The actress was joined by her “Thappad” co-star Dia Mirza and director Anubhav Sinha on comedian Kapil Sharma’s chat show.
KAREENA KAPOOR REVEALS FITNESS SECRETS FOR FANS
Mumbai– Bollywood actress and style diva Kareena Kapoor Khan has shared her fitness secrets for fans.
Although the actress is on social media, she doesn’t use it much, to reveal gym regime details. Rather, Kareena’s workout and gym secrets have constantly made it to social media courtsey her best friend Amrita Arora and celebrity trainer Namrata Purohit.
Other than working out, Kareena strongly believes that a healthy attitude towards life and good food are the right tricks to stay healthy, reports pinkvilla.com.
Kareena, who is nicknamed Bebo, shared that she starts her day by drinking a glass of hot water mixed with lime. Breakfast must include poha or upma.
The actress avoids junk food and makes sure to eat homecooked food for lunch and dinner. She has her last meal of the day at around 8pm.
Workout is a must. Kareena is a Pilates girl, though her workout session also includes battle rope exercises, kettle-bell squats and boxing.
She works out four days a week.
ALIA BHATT TO FEATURE IN SAKET CHAUDHARY’S SOCIAL DRAMA
Mumbai– Actress Alia Bhatt will be seen playing the lead role in “Hindi Medium” fame director Saket Chaudhary’s upcoming social drama.
According to the Mumbai Mirror, the movie will deliver a hard-hitting message in a humourous way.
“Saket has been working on the script for a while now. He was keen on casting Alia, who liked the script and has given her nod. She is expected to sign on the dotted line shortly.
Meanwhile, the hunt for the leading man is still on. The team will finalise the shooting schedule once the entire cast is locked,” a source said.
The film will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
Apart from the upcoming social drama, Alia will also be seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in “Brahmastra”.
SHALINI PANDEY ON ‘JAYESHBHAI JORDAAR’: SHEER LUCK I GOT NOTICED
Mumbai– “Arjun Reddy” actress Shalini Pandey, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Ranveer Singh starrer “Jayeshbhai Jordaar”, has shared details on how she bagged the role in the film. She said it was sheer luck that she got noticed.
“It was sheer luck that I got noticed and I can’t thank the universe enough. I was at a restaurant one day with a friend of mine and there was Shanoo (Shanoo Sharma, YRF’s casting director) sitting with a bunch of people. There was only one place available for two which was right beside Shanoo’s! Actually the table was attached to hers!
“So, we felt a little odd because it seemed like they were discussing some important stuff and I shifted the table. We sat at a different table and had our meal that’s it. We didn’t interact at all,” she said.
The actress added that the same situation repeated itself later.
“I happened to go to another bistro and I saw her there again. Again, I got to sit just next to her because there wasn’t any table available and again we didn’t interact! One fine day, I was on my Instagram and I was just going through my messages. Her message was there in �other’ messages inbox.”
Shalini said she got excited and tried to open the message and by mistake the message was deleted.
“…Thankfully, I got a call from her team saying that they wanted to audition me for a film!”
Shalini had no idea about which film it was for but she was “thrilled, relieved and excited”.
SHAH RUKH KHAN TO SUPPORT A YOUNG RESEARCHER’S DREAM
Mumbai– The Shah Rukh Khan La Trobe University PhD Scholarship, which was named after the superstar last year, has been awarded to a young female researcher from Kerala. The actor says he is a staunch believer in education.
It has gone to researcher Gopika Kottantharayil Bhasi from Thrissur (Kerala), working on farming practices through animal science, ecology and molecular studies.
Chosen from over 800 Indian women, she was awarded the four-year scholarship at a ceremony here on Wednesday.
“I’m a staunch believer in education and I would like to congratulate Gopika. Way forward for everyone is educate and there’s never an end to education,” Shah Rukh said.
“Empowering and educating women is key and the world goes forward with educating women. I think education in India or anywhere else in the world is a step forward.”
He feels that Gopika is lucky as she’s soon going to be studying at La Trobe which is a “fantastic university and I’m glad she’s getting this opportunity to do this PhD on her research”.
“I admire Gopika’s dedication and determination. This scholarship will enable her to travel to La Trobe in Melbourne, Australia where she will pursue her dreams of helping to improve India’s agriculture sector,” he added.
This comes before the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne will enter its eleventh year. The team had organised a prelude event in Mumbai before their main event in Melbourne. (IANS)
