The movie, backed by Dharma Productions, depicts the bravery of 21 Sikhs of the 36th Sikh Regiment (now the 4th Battalion of Sikh Regiment) of British India defending an Army post against more than 10,000 Afghan and Orakzai tribesmen.

The movie, directed by Anurag Singh, also stars Parineeti Chopra.

Zee Studios International took the film to 55 territories across the world and is now gearing up to showcase the film in Japan. This will be Akshay’s second outing in the territory after “PadMan”.

“It is nothing short of a grand masala box office hit… It has drama, comedy, romance and even action,” the statement read.

With a filmography of over 530 films — and counting — Anupam is a National School of Drama alumnus, has his own acting school, does plays and also balances his work in India and abroad.

In a recent tweet, he quipped that he started writing his autobiography at the age of 10.

After doing a short film and commercials, she is set to debut on the small screen with a new show titled “Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum”.

“I am really happy to make my debut with the show. I play a character named Amrita. The show’s makers needed a tall and lean personality like (former Miss Universe) Sushmita Sen for the role,” Mayanka said in a statement.

“Amrita is a high profile fashion show organiser and a business woman. For her, her image and prestige are everything. I can proudly say I got this role because of my good height,” added the former beauty queen, who stands tall at 5 feet and 11 inches.

“When I came at a juncture in life in which I truly felt broken, I looked for sources to heal. And in this quest as I healed, I realised how important it is for those in similar situations, possibly broken, to have a path to truly heal,” Juhi, a single mother, said in a statement.

“When I started to meditate, I came across this mantra by chance. For me, this mantra has really helped me change. In retrospect, debut film shouldn’t be hit: Varun Mitra

Mumbai– Actor Varun Mitra, who features in the sports-based web series “Bombers”, says he looks at the box office failure of his debut film “Jalebi” in a positive way.

“Jalebi”, produced by Mahesh Bhatt, did not set the cash registers ringing, but he feels this failure made him more determined towards his work.

“In retrospect, I think our debut film should not be a superhit only because we never analyse the reason behind the success. We just go with the flow and grab everything that comes our way,” Varun told IANS in an interview.

“If the film does not do well, we sit down and take an understanding of the result. I started working on myself much more and learnt to tackle failure and criticism much more. I am grounded now. I tend to rectify my flaws and move on. Having said that, I know that every talent gets its due, sooner or later.”
