Ajay Devgn to Host New Season of ‘Crime Patrol’
Mumbai — Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn will host the upcoming season of “Crime Patrol,” saying the long-running crime series plays an important role in raising awareness and encouraging viewers to remain vigilant.
The show’s makers unveiled a new promo Monday featuring Devgn, who urges audiences to approach real-world crime with caution rather than fear.
“Coming together with a show like Crime Patrol feels like a responsibility to my fans and viewers,” Devgn said. “The show has built a legacy of understanding crime stories while driving awareness among viewers, encouraging them to become more vigilant about the people around them and who they interact with and trust.”
He added that the new season will highlight stories inspired by cases that have drawn national attention.
“I hope and believe that I can help and guide audiences to navigate them with caution rather than fear,” Devgn said.
“Crime Patrol – Crime Ka Current Season” will premiere Aug. 31 on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
Siddharth Calls ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ an ‘Unbelievable Privilege’
Mumbai — Actor Siddharth has expressed gratitude for the response to his web series “Operation Safed Sagar,” calling his role in the project an “unbelievable privilege.”
Siddharth, who portrays Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja, shared photos from the series on Instagram, including one with Ahuja’s wife, Alka Ahuja.
“This honour will stay with me forever. Thank you to each and every person who gave me the strength and understanding to be able to live up to this unbelievable privilege,” Siddharth wrote, also thanking the show’s cast, crew and creators.
He thanked Alka Ahuja for allowing him to be part of her family and paid tribute to the late squadron leader.
Directed by Oni Sen, “Operation Safed Sagar” also stars Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Dia Mirza, Prajakta Koli, Adil Hussain and others.
The Netflix series, which premiered Aug. 7, is inspired by Operation Safed Sagar, the Indian Air Force’s aerial campaign during the Kargil War.
Amitabh Bachchan Corrects Tweet Numbering Mix-Up
Mumbai — Amitabh Bachchan took to social media Monday to correct a mistake in the numbering of his posts on X.
The veteran actor, who regularly numbers his tweets, acknowledged that he had mixed up the sequence.
“A huge error by me in the numbering .. apologies .. after 5817 .. it should read 5818, 5819, 5820,” Bachchan wrote, thanking a follower for pointing out the mistake.
Bachchan is also returning as host of the 18th season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati.” A recent promo featured him with Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan, who are set to appear on the quiz show.
During the exchange, Bachchan jokingly asked Deol why it had taken him 18 seasons to appear on the program. Deol replied that he had been “very scared of the show” and needed time to think about participating.
“Kaun Banega Crorepati” is the Hindi adaptation of the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” franchise. Bachchan has hosted every season except the third, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.
Monalisa Takes on Emotionally Complex Role in ‘Love To Hate You: Chapter 2’
Mumbai — Actress Monalisa says the emotional complexity of her character in “Love To Hate You: Chapter 2” was both the biggest attraction and challenge of the role.
“What I really liked about the show was that my character is not very simple,” Monalisa said. “There are many emotions and situations that she goes through. I like playing characters where I can show different shades.”
The actress said the story’s mix of betrayal, pain, family conflicts, secrets and misunderstandings required her to carefully track what her character knows at different points in the story.
“Sometimes you are playing a scene with one emotion, but inside you know there is something else happening,” she said. “That makes it interesting but also difficult.”
Monalisa added that she tried to keep the character’s reactions natural and believes audiences will relate to her struggles with trust, confusion and complicated relationships.
“Love To Hate You: Chapter 2” also stars Harsh Rajput and Niyati Fatnani as Aman and Ria, along with Abhimanyu Tomar and Sanjana.

Mumbai — Actor Arjun Kapoor shared highlights from a recent trip to London with his sister Janhvi Kapoor, posting photos and videos from their time together on social media.
“An innings of London Summer. Clocked it,” Arjun wrote alongside the Instagram post.
The collection included photos of Arjun and Janhvi together, along with snapshots from restaurants and pictures of pizza, ice cream and other food from the trip.
The siblings were also recently seen together at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, where they attended an India-England ODI dressed in coordinated formal looks.
Arjun and Janhvi are the children of filmmaker Boney Kapoor. Arjun is his son with the late Mona Shourie Kapoor, while Janhvi is his daughter with the late actress Sridevi.
Freida Pinto Seeks Support for Friend Affected by Okanagan Wildfires
Mumbai — Actress Freida Pinto has urged her social media followers to support a friend who lost her farm and animals in wildfires in British Columbia’s Okanagan region.
“The Okanagan wildfires in BC are devastating. So many are displaced and have lost everything,” Pinto wrote on Instagram, highlighting the experience of her friend Carmen Spagnola.
Pinto encouraged followers to visit Spagnola’s social media page and consider contributing to a GoFundMe campaign established by friends to help her rebuild.
“Her rebuild is not going to be easy but her strength through it all is remarkable,” Pinto wrote.
Pinto, who rose to international prominence with the 2008 film “Slumdog Millionaire,” has also appeared in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” “Immortals,” “Love Sonia” and “Mr. Malcolm’s List.” (Source: IANS)
