Aamir Khan shoots for ‘KBC’ with Big B

Mumbai– Ahead of the release of Yash Raj Film’s mega adventure film “Thugs of Hindostan”, its lead actors Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan reunited on the small screen and had a gala time.

Aamir on Thursday shot for reality TV game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC), hosted by Amitabh. Together, they promoted “Thugs Of Hindostan”.

“What an exciting day I have had! Just finished shooting for ‘KBC’ with Mr Bachchan. Had so much fun. Sir, sorry for all my requests! Couldn’t control myself,” Aamir tweeted along with a selfie from the sets of the Sony Entertainment Television show.

In the picture, Aamir can be seen wearing a red chequered coat and a pair of glasses, while Amitabh looks dapper in a classic blue suit.

“Thugs of Hindostan”, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, marks the first time that Amitabh and Aamir have shared the frame in a film. It promises high-octane action.

Also featuring stars like Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, the film is slated to release on November 8, adding to the sparkle at the box office this Diwali.

Nawazuddin, Athiya’s next film a ‘gift for children, family’

Mumbai– Acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s next film will be titled “Motichoor Chaknachoor” and he says it is a “special gift” for children and family.

Nawazuddin on Thursday shared a sneak peak from the film’s set, where he is seen sporting a sherwani and captioned it: “We are bringing a special gift for all the lovable kids and their family. ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’, a romantic wedding comedy.”

The film also stars Athiya Shetty.

This will be the first time Athiya and Nawazuddin will be seen sharing screen space together.

In an earlier interview to IANS, Athiya had said that she will be shooting for the film in Bhopal.

I was always fascinated by action movies: Harshita Gaur

Mumbai– Actress Harshita Gaur, who has two web series “Punchbeat” and “Mirzapur”, says action movies have always fascinated her and she loves watching actresses doing action scenes.

She is now busy with Mixed Martial Arts classes here.

“Martial arts happened sometime back. I joined for a couple of months and then due to some work commitments, I had to take a break. Now, I have resumed it. I got into it last year,” Harshita said in a statement.

“I was always fascinated by action movies and I love watching actresses doing action scenes. I am a big fan of Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson’s movies. Our very own Priyanka Chopra in ‘Quantico’ is a great inspiration. They kind of inspired me to begin martial arts. I like to see a girl in a stronger position in movies,” added the 26-year-old actress.

I’ve been a brat: Rishi Kapoor says after meeting De Niro

New York– Rishi Kapoor and his actor son Ranbir Kapoor had an impromptu meeting with Hollywood star Robert De Niro here. The Bollywood veteran was impressed by the “Raging Bull” icon’s demeanour.

Rishi, who is currently undergoing a medical treatment in US, shared a selfie with Ranbir and De Niro.

“Wow moment. Impromptu meeting with Robert De Niro on 65th and 3rd. He knew Ranbir because he had met him and Anupam (Kher) and said come over with Kher for a drink! Simplicity and super stardom,” Rishi captioned the image.

“I realised I have been such a bloody brat. Cannot get over his demeanour. Thank you Bob,” he added.

Anupam has worked with De Niro in “Silver Linings Playbook”, and he is currently in the US to shoot American show “New Amsterdam”.

On the acting front, Rishi will next be seen in “Rajma Chawal”, directed by Leena Yadav. It revolves around a father-son relationship in today’s time.

Mallika Singh gives dance lessons to kids in Gujarat

Umbergaon (Gujarat)– Actress Mallika Singh, who is shooting here for her show “RadhaKrishn”, uses her free time to teach dance to some children.

“Dance makes me happy and I like to be associated with it as much as possible. When I was told by a local worker that the kids in the village were interested in learning dance, I decided to start a dance class,” Mallika said in a statement.

“Since I am busy with the tight shooting schedule, I teach them during weekends in the evening after my shoot gets over. Though the classes are not regular, I am happy that I can be of some help,” she added.

Monalisa adds personal touch to ‘Nazar’

Mumbai– Actress Monalisa uses dupattas from her personal wardrobe for some sequences in her TV show “Nazar”.

In the show, Monalisa, who is playing role of a “daayan” in the StarPlus show, is seen wearing suits paired with some elaborate dupattas.

“I grew up watching my mother wear phulkari and Banarasi dupattas and she would look stunning. Since then I always wanted to don an ethnic look with similar poise and elegance and have my own collection of dupattas,” Monalisa said in a statement.

“When I heard that my character Mohana will be wearing Punjabi suits in the ongoing track, I insisted on pairing some dupattas from my personal wardrobe to match the look,” she added.

The actress says she keeps “adding onto my collection every time I visit a new city and I own 800 dupattas in total now”.

“Playing Mohana is always exciting for me since I can exploit my dupatta collection and add my personal touch to the character,” she added.

Aayam to make TV debut with ‘Kaal Bhairav…’

Mumbai– Actor Aayam Mehta, who has featured in movies like “Padmaavat” and “Madras Cafe”, will enter the TV space with the second season of “Kaal Bhairav Rahasya”.

He will play Raj Guru, who is the priest of the Kaal Bhairav temple, in the thriller show.

“Whether it is Bollywood or television, the kind of role that makes one stand out is what really adds value to the character,” Aayam said in a statement.

“My role in ‘Kaal Bhairav Rahasya’ is a big challenge as I have never played such a role earlier and the exclusivity of the character is what made me take it up. I am sure the audience will love my appearance as much as I am looking forward to it,” he added. (IANS)
