Aamir Khan, Kajol thrilled to meet ‘after so long’

Mumbai– Bollywood stars Kajol and Aamir Khan were thrilled to meet “after so long” at industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in his Mumbai home, Antilia.

Kajol shared a selfie with Aamir Khan on Instagram. “After so long,” she captioned the image. While Aamir turned up in white kurta-pyjama, Kajol wore a black-and-gold sari.

Aamir and Kajol were last seen together on screen in the 2006 blockbuster “Fanaa”. The two stars also worked together in the 1997 superhit, “Ishq”.

Several top Bollywood stars were spotted at the Ganpati celebrations in the Ambani residence. These include Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Aditi Rao Hydari, among others.

Bhumi sends ‘foodie pati’ Kartik pizzas

Lucknow– Actress Bhumi Pednekar sent pizzas on the sets of “Pati Patni Aur Woh” for her on-screen “foodie pati” Kartik Aaryan.

Kartik on Monday shared a photograph of himself enjoying some cheesy pizzas.

“When Patni wants foodie Pati to look fit. Thank you Bhumi Pednekar for sending pizzas. Full on diet chal rahi hai Lucknow mein,” Kartik captioned the image.

In Mudassar Aziz’s romantic-comedy “Pati Patni Aur Woh”, which is a remake of the B.R. Chopra classic of the same name (1978), the actor will be seen in a character called Chintu Tyagi. The film also stars Ananya Panday.

Kartik Aaryan has quite a few films in his kitty including “Pati Patni Aur Woh”.

The 28-year-old actor will be seen alongside his rumoured girlfriend Sara Ali Khan in Imtiaz Ali’s romantic drama slated to release in February next year. He will also be seen in Anees Baazmee’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2”, a sequel to Priyadarshan’s 2007 blockbuster “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”.

Sridevi’s ‘Hawa Hawai’ wax statue at Tussauds Singapore on Sep 4

Mumbai– Sridevi’s iconic ‘Hawa Hawai’ avatar will come alive at Madame Tussauds, Singapore, with the launch of a wax statue that will capture her charisma in that evergreen dance number.

“One more day to the official launch of Sridevi’s first and only unique wax figure in Madame Tussauds Singapore,” tweeted the official account of the wax museum, leading to a buzz in the digital world.

The statue will be launched in the presence of the late actress’s husband Boney Kapoor, and her daughters Janhvi and Khushi. They have already left for Singapore.

“Sridevi lives forever in not just our hearts but also in the hearts of millions of her fans. Eagerly waiting to watch the unveiling of her figure at Madam Tussauds, Singapore on September 4,” Boney tweeted.

He also posted a video that showed glimpses of the making of Sridevi’s wax figure.

“This video gave me goosebumps! A beautiful ode to one of India’s biggest superstars! #Sridevi’s wax statue will be unveiled soon,” one user wrote.

Anurag Kashyap starts shooting for ‘Ghost Stories’

London– Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on Tuesday commenced the shoot of his short film for the upcoming Netflix anhtology, “Ghost Stories”.

The filmmaker posted a photograph on Instagram in which he is seen holding a clapboard, with the caption: “‘Ghost Stories’ Day one, shoot life.”

Actors Shobhita Dhulipala and Pavail Gulati will be a part of Anurag’s film.

“Ghost Stories” is an anthology of four short films directed by Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee. This is the third time that the quartet is collaborating on an anthology project.

They have previously co-directed the 2013 film, “Bombay Talkies”, and the 2018 Netflix movie, “Lust Stories”.

Protecting nature isn’t about a nation: Esha Gupta

Mumbai– Actress Esha Gupta says protecting nature is not just about a nation, but everyone should pitch in.

Esha has been the face of various earth conservation activities such as recycling, waste management, beach cleaning and preservation of green cover, and she was recently felicitated with the Green Crusader Award by Bhamla Foundation.

Esha received the award for her contribution to the environment, and also for her involvement in green activitism.

“Such awards give us motivation and (serve as a) reminder of how much more our planet needs us. They give me courage to not stop fighting for our home. Protecting Mother Nature isn’t about a nation. It’s our duty to protect our planet as human beings if we want our kids to have the same — in fact, (our kids should have) a better future than what we have had. This is only possible if we don’t make the efforts political but humanitarian. I have always spoken for the ones who cannot speak for themselves. I believe it is still not too late to save planet earth if we work together,” said Esha, who is a believer of sustainable development.

Kalki Koechlin posts pic with new boyfriend

Mumbai– Actress Kalki Koechlin has acknowleged her relationship with boyfriend Guy Hershberg on social media.

Kalki took to Instagram to share shared a loved-up photograph with her beau.

“It’s always a Sunday when I’m with my favourite caveman,” she captioned the image, which she posted on Sunday.

In the image, Hershberg is seen kissing Kalki on her cheek.

Reacting to the “Dev.D” actress’ post, Hershberg commented: “Kalki, you just put such a big silly smile on my face my cutie.”

Kalki was previously married to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The couple got married in 2011 but separated after two years.(IANS)
