Aamir Khan to Headline 16th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne
Mumbai– Bollywood icon Aamir Khan will serve as the chief guest at the 16th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, set for August 14–24, 2025.
Khan expressed his excitement about sharing some of his most meaningful work at the globally celebrated event. “I’m humbled and thrilled to be part of a festival that truly honors the diversity and richness of Indian cinema. I look forward to connecting with audiences and reflecting on stories that matter,” he said.
A special spotlight will be placed on Khan’s latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par, which explores neurodivergence and inclusivity with empathy and heart. “We aimed to tell a story that embraces difference with sensitivity, and I’m grateful it has resonated with so many,” Khan added.
The festival will also feature a retrospective honoring Khan’s cinematic journey, showcasing his enduring impact on Indian film.
Festival Director Mitu Bhowmick Lange AM praised Khan’s contributions, calling him “a cinematic legend whose work reflects compassion, courage, and a deep commitment to storytelling. His presence will elevate the festival experience for all.”
The 10-day festival will include film screenings, panel discussions, masterclasses, and cultural events — with Aamir Khan’s legacy at its heart.

Mumbai– Actress Alia Bhatt was overwhelmed after seeing husband Ranbir Kapoor’s first look as Lord Ram in the upcoming epic Ramayana.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Alia wrote, “Some things don’t need words. This feels like the start of something unforgettable. Diwali 2026 — we’re waiting.”
Known for supporting Ranbir both on and off screen, Alia once again showed her admiration as the much-anticipated teaser dropped on Thursday.
The announcement video opens with divine visuals of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva before transitioning into animated glimpses of Ranbir as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as a fierce Ravana.
Ranbir’s calm and serene portrayal stands in stark contrast to Yash’s intense Ravana, offering a powerful first impression of the film’s tone and scale.
The makers shared, “Ten years of aspiration. Relentless conviction to bring the greatest epic of all time to the world… Let’s celebrate the immortal story of Rama vs. Ravana. Our truth. Our history.”
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana will be released in two parts — Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.

Mumbai– Sunny Deol has officially confirmed his role as Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming epic, Ramayana, calling it a deep honor to join a story that has resonated through the ages.

Sharing the first look teaser on Instagram, Deol wrote, “Honored to be part of a story that has shaped generations. Welcome to Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana, the immortal tale of Rama vs. Ravana. Grateful to walk this path and share it with all of you.”
He added, “Let’s celebrate this moment and together step into the @worldoframayana. Our Truth. Our History.”
The teaser, released Thursday, introduces Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and hints at Sunny Deol’s powerful portrayal of Hanuman. It begins with animated depictions of the divine trinity — Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva — before shifting to vivid visuals of the central characters.
Director Nitesh Tiwari called Ramayana “a tale that carries the soul of our culture,” adding, “We’re not just making a film — we’re offering a vision rooted in reverence and crafted to transcend borders.”
Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, in collaboration with Oscar-winning VFX powerhouse DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana is set for a global release in two parts: Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.

Mumbai– Actor Rajkummar Rao and wife Patralekhaa recently explored the breathtaking beauty of New Zealand, soaking in its landscapes, art, and culture during a scenic getaway.

The couple chose Aotearoa (New Zealand’s Māori name) for its immersive natural experiences and meaningful local connections. From strolling through the vibrant autumn colors to helicopter rides over geothermal wonders, their trip was a blend of romance and adventure.

“Love, laughter, and a touch of adrenaline — this was truly a date in the sky, New Zealand style,” Rajkummar told Patralekhaa after their helicopter ride over Taupo’s stunning terrain.
