Rishi Kapoor with a stack of comics under his arm

Mumbai– Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor shared an old black-and-white photograph from his childhood, reminiscing about the moment when he had to catch a flight.

“B.O.A.C. Erstwhile British Airways. And look who is in a hurry to catch his flight. Don’t miss the comics under the right arm and white socks,” the 64-year-old captioned the image on his Twitter account.

The image has Rishi posing innocently for the shutter bug with eyes wide open, holding a small bag with B.O.A.C written on it, clad in a white suit with white shoes and white socks.

Rishi was last seen in “Kapoor and Sons”.

Ranbir Kapoor prefers ‘laddoo’ over shutterbug

Actor Rishi Kapoor’s wife Neetu Kapoor shared an old photograph with her children Ranbir and Riddhima, in which Ranbir seems to be concentrating more on the laddoo in his hand than the camera.

Neetu posted on her Instagram account on Sunday: “Happy and safe Holi. (RK studio Holi pic) Ranbir is only interested in the laddoo. Isn’t he adorable?”

Suniel Shetty happy with Athiya’s professional choices

Actor Suniel Shetty is happy with the professional choices that his daughter Athiya is making.

Sharing a poster of Athiya’s commercial ad for a cosmetic brand, Suniel posted: “Athiya Shetty looking gorgeous as always Tia. Good to see the patient choices you are making… a perfect first commercial.”

Athiya made her debut into the film world with the movie “Hero” in 2015 and will next be seen in “Mubarakan”. “Mubarakan” has been written and directed by Anees Bazmee, and stars Arjun Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.

Sonakshi Sinha to perform at Justin Bieber’s India gig

Mumbai–Actress Sonakshi Sinha will perform at Grammy Award winner and global pop sensation Justin Bieber’s Purpose World Tour here in May, she said on Monday.

The actress will perform as one of the opening acts at the highly anticipated gig, which will be held at the DY Patil Stadium here on May 10.

“I am really fond of Justin Bieber’s music and I love how his sound has evolved over the years and today he reaches out to a universal fan base. I’m definitely looking forward to this event,” Sonakshi said in a statement.

The “Lootera” actress is currently working on a new single and intends to launch it at the Purpose Tour.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ script: Kriti Sanon

Panaji–Actress Kriti Sanon, who is prepping for her role for “Bareilly Ki Barfi”, says she thoroughly enjoyed reading the script for the upcoming film.

“It’s sort of a quirky film and Nitesh Tiwari has written the script while his wife Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is directing it. She is an amazing director and Nitesh writes really well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the script,” Kriti told IANS here.

The actress, who was here to walk the ramp for designer duo Sukriti and Aakriti at the recently concluded India Beach Fashion Week 2017, says the narration for the script was even better.

“The narration was another level because he reads it out even better. It’s a fun film, got a quirky subject and will make you laugh for sure,” she added.

“Bareilly Ki Barfi” is directed by “Nil Battey Sannata” fame director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.

“Bareilly Ki Barfi”, which is slated to release on July 21, is a romantic comedy rooted in the subculture of the north Indian city Bareilly.

Apart from Kriti, the film also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao.

The film will feature Ayushmann as the owner of a printing press. Rajkummar will be seen as an author and Kriti as a straight-forward and liberated girl.

Varun, Alia were superb in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’: Sujoy Ghosh

Mumbai–Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh on Monday said that he found actors Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt to be superb in their latest film “Badrinath Ki Dulhania”.

“Really enjoyed Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in aBadrinath Ki Dulhania’. Superb they were. So much fun to watch their banter. Clap Clap,” Ghosh tweeted.

The Shashank Khaitan-directed “Badrinath Ku Dulhania”, which is produced by Karan Johar, has opened strongly at the box-office.

In the first two days in the country, the film minted Rs 27 crore, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Although a romantic drama, the film does throw the spotlight on the dowry system and still existent patriarchal society. The film is the second instalment of the 2014 hit film “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania”
