Anupam thanks Russell Peters for his love

Mumbai–Veteran actor Anupam Kher has thanked Russell Peters for his love and generosity and said that the funnyman’s assistant looked after him well.

“Thank you Russell Peters for your love and generosity. Even though you are shooting in Cape Town… Your assistant Eddro looked after me we well in Los Angeles,” Anupam tweeted.

Anupam will be seen sharing screen space with Peters in the TV series “The Indian Detective”.

The 61-year-old will be seen as the actor-comedian’s father in “The Indian Detective”, which has been shot in Cape Town.

On the Bollywood front, Anupam will next be seen in the forthcoming film “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”, which stars Akshay Kumar and the “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” fame actress Bhumi Pednekar.

Ranveer wanted ‘Pav Bhaji’ after ‘Trapped’

After watching “Trapped” — in which the protagonist gets stuck in a house for several days without food, water or electricity — actor Ranveer Singh could only think about food.

At a special screening of the film, Ranveer got very immersed in the world of “Trapped”, which features Rajkummar Rao in the lead role.

A source who was at the screening, shared how Ranveer was seen motionless for a while before he could share his thoughts on the film, and when he did, he said: “I need a Pav Bhaji!”

Ranveer was all praise for Rajkummar, and for the film’s director Vikramaditya Motwane.

“He just gets better and better with every film,” said the actor, who has worked with Motwane in “Lootera”.

Presented by Reliance Entertainment, “Trapped”, a Phantom Production, will release on Friday.

Priyanka’s ‘mixed emotions’ on finishing ‘Quantico 2’

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is about to finish the shooting for American drama TV series “Quantico 2”, says she is going through “mixed emotions”.

Priyanka, who essays the role of FBI agent Alex Parrish in the series, on Thursday tweeted: “Last two episodes before we finish shooting for the rest of ‘Quantico’ season 2! So many mixed emotions… It’s been a long haul.”

The 34-year-old actress will also be seen in the Hollywood film “Baywatch”, in which she has a negative role as Victoria Leeds.

The film, which stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron among many others, is adapted from the popular 1990s’ TV series of the same name, which featured actress Pamela Anderson in a key role.
