Salman hit-and-run case: SC junks plea for CBI probe into expenses
New Delhi–The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a petition seeking a CBI probe into the expenditure of Rs.25 crore by Salman Khan in the hit-and-run case till his acquittal by the Bombay High Court. Dismissing the public interest suit by advocate M.L. Sharma, the bench of Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar and Justice R. Banumathi said the amount the actor’s father Salim Khan claimed to have been spent in the course of the litigation may have gone as fee of the lawyers.
“These are wild allegations without any basis,” Justice Khehar said. “You are misrepresenting the facts” he told Sharma. On Sharma’s plea for witness protection, the court said Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi was arguing for the Maharashtra government which has challenged Salman Khan’s acquittal by the Bombay High Court and he could assist him in the course of the hearing.

But he is all set to lose the excess flab.
About his physique in “Dangal”, he said, “(It’s) Not like ‘3 Idiots’, but similar to ‘Ghajini’. I gained 25 kilos in 6 months and the shooting of my overweight self has been completed. The same character is younger in the beginning of the film when he is a national champion wrestler like Sushil Kumar ji.” “I’ve been working hard on that look, it’ll take 4-6 months to get there,” Aamir said.

Vicky Kaushal wants to test himself
Mumbai–Actor Vicky Kaushal says he feels blessed with his run of films in 2016 — “Zubaan”, “Manmarziyan” and “Raman Raghav 2.0” — but wants to explore and test himself as an actor. “I’m just feeling blessed that life is taking such a beautiful turn. I just want the audiences’ love, and their appreciation. I’ll keep working hard. My motto as an actor is to explore myself, to test myself and to see that whatever characters I do are as different from each other as possible,” Vicky said.
While his films “Masaan” and “Zubaan” are relatively small films with not many big stars, with “Manmarziyan” produced by Yash Raj Films and “Raman Raghav 2.0” produced and directed by Anurag Kashyap, he makes his way into big production houses and is also working with the likes of Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui among others.
“Zubaan” is almost a musical with 14 songs. But Vicky said: “You’ll be surprised when you watch the film, how those 14 songs have beautifully become a part of the narrative. “It is a lovely story and a coming-of-age story of a boy. It is a musical drama and also a romantic story, it has a noble thought, and I feel this thought will connect with everyone, of knowing your truth and identifying your truth.”
Salman, Hrithik textbook for actors like me: Girish Kumar
Mumbai–Actor Girish Kumar says superstars Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan have tremendously inspired him and they were “textbook” for actors like him. “Salman sir and Hrithik sir are such huge personalities. I’ve not actually met them but they’re like a textbook for actors like me. You can watch them how they approach their scenes, you hear stories because you are from the fraternity about how hard they work, and they just inspire you, you don’t have to really be interacting with them to learn from them. I’ve learnt a lot.”
“I don’t follow anyone but I’m a fan of them, I think they’re just wonderful,” said Girish. While Salman made bodybuilding a trend to follow in the 1990s, Hrithik also impressed with his physique in the early 2000s. This could be one of the reason why Girish looks upto them, considering he has been working on his physique since his debut film “Ramaiya Vastaviya”.
Girish has displayed his topless avatar even in his second outing “Loveshhuda”. “All others who do good work like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and so many others, even Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, they all do such amazing work, so I really think they’re inspiration for all of us.
