Amitabh Bachchan Shares Work Update Days After Hospitalization Reports

MUMBAI — Amitabh Bachchan shared a glimpse from work days after reports circulated online claiming that the megastar had been hospitalized.
Bachchan posted photos from a shoot on his blog and wrote about the importance of work.
“… work work work .. and work more ..work be the language extempore ..… work that which .. conveys .. growth fulment and self respect (sic),” he wrote.
The post came five days after social media reports claimed Bachchan had been admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.
On May 19, reports said the actor had been admitted to the hospital’s VIP wing since May 16 because of stomach-related issues. Later reports said Bachchan had undergone a routine checkup, had been discharged and had returned home after the examination.
A day later, on May 20, Bachchan shared a cryptic poem that began with a verse from the “Ramcharitmanas” and ended with a message of love.
Writing on his blog at 12:19 a.m. Wednesday, Bachchan began with the dateline, “Peel Pilwadi, Mumbai, May 19, 2026 / May 20.”
He then wrote, “Mangal Bhavan Amangal Haari.”
The actor continued with a poem: “Cheel jab hove shaant toh bhaiya, tote bolan shuru karein. Ir bir fatte, kahan “chal hamau”, pilave shuru karein!!!! Bajre di roti kha di, phoo padiyon da saag re. Munh mein daalan laage jaise, bolan laage kaag re!!!!! Ek rahe ‘Hill’ bhaiya ki padhai ka darpan; Aur doosar Wellington ki yaad!!.”
He concluded the post with, “Love, Prayers and more.”
Bachchan was last seen in “Vettaiyan,” directed by T.J. Gnanavel. The film also stars Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami and Ramesh Thilak.
He is also part of filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD,” which stars Kamal Haasan and Prabhas.
Bachchan will reportedly appear in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming “Ramayana: Part 1,” starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash and Sunny Deol. He is reportedly set to play Jatayu. (Source: IANS)
