Feel lucky to be working with Salman Khan: Nora Fatehi

Mumbai– Actress Nora Fatehi feels lucky to be working with superstar Salman Khan in “Bharat”.

“It is an exciting moment in my career to be a part of a huge project like ‘Bharat’. I feel very lucky to be working with Salman Khan sir and Ali (Abbas Zafar) sir and the entire team! I hope to be a part of more projects as an actor in the near future,” Nora said in a statement.

Nora, who has commenced shooting for “Bharat” in Malta, will be seen playing the role of a Latina in the film, which is a Hindi remake of the 2014 South Korean film “Ode to My Father”.

Talking about her character, Nora said: “I am playing a Latina character from Malta and it’s going to be a very different experience for me as an actor. Speaking in the way a Latina would speak, the body language and mannerism is something I needed to prep for before the shoot.”

“Bharat” is slated for Eid 2019 release. It also stars Disha Patani and Sunil Grover.

Sara Ali Khan makes her Instagram debut

Mumbai– Sara Ali Khan, who will soon make her acting debut in Bollywood, joined the photo-sharing website Instagram on Wednesday.

As a mark of respect to India, the daughter of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh decided to start this journey on Independence Day instead of her birthday on August 12, read a statement.

Her first post was a visual rendition of the national anthem of India along with a pop art image of its writer Rabindranath Tagore.

She took to her Instagram handle, shared an image of the national anthem and wrote: “Happy Independence Day. #merabharatmahan #proudtobeindian.”

Sara, who shared her first post an hour ago, already has 127,000 followers.

On the work front, the actress has Abhishek Kapoor’s film “Kedarnath” and Rohit Shetty’s movie “Simmba”.

Abha Parmar part of ‘Sui Dhaaga’

Mumbai– Actress Abha Parmar will share screen space with actors Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in Yash Raj Films’ upcoming movie “Sui Dhaaga – Made in India”.

Abha is currently seen playing the role of Taiji in the show “Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai”.

“The production team of ‘Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai’ has been very helpful. It’s a dream come true for me. When I got the offer of ‘Sui Dhaaga…’, I was shooting a wedding sequence for the show. It was a very tight schedule,” Abha said in a statement.

“I was a bit worried about doing this film due to my current show commitments and I almost refused to do this movie. But my production house helped me with the movie shoot dates and encouraged me to take up this project. It’s been a memorable experience working with Varun and Anushka,” she added.

Stop putting virginity on a pedestal: Karan Johar

Mumbai– Filmmaker Karan Johar says one should not start a relationship with “ridiculous expectations”.

“Stop putting virginity on a pedestal and do not judge people based on their sexual status,” Karan said in a statement to IANS.

“Your partner is human and not a loaf of bread. It’s 2018 and let’s not have any such ridiculous expectations,” he added.

In the first episode of radio show “Calling Karan Season 2” at Ishq 104.8 FM, the filmmaker spoke on virginity and how one’s sexual status should not even be a concern.

While receiving calls on whether there was a need for disclosing the sexual status to their partners specially in case of arrange marriages, Karan advised people to be extremely honest about it.

He said: “I don’t think one should worry about a man judging you on your past physical status. You should be honest to yourself and about yourself.”

Aamir sends good wishes to Sanya Malhotra for ‘Pataakha’

Mumbai– Superstar Aamir Khan has wished his “Dangal” co-star Sanya Malhotra good luck for her upcoming movie “Pataakha”.

“Loved the trailer Sanya! Your first film after ‘Dangal’… Good luck and all the very best,” Aamir tweeted on Tuesday night.

Directed by National Award winning-filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, “Pataakha” is a comedy drama about two sisters, Badki and Chhutki, who grow up in a small village in Rajasthan and are constantly at war. But when marriage separates them, they realise they cannot seem to live with or without each other.

The film is based on an acclaimed short story by renowned writer Charan Singh Pathik.

It also features popular comedian Sunil Grover along with Radhika Madan and Vijay Raaz among others. “Pataakha” is slated to release on September 28.

Niyati got uncomfortable filming romantic scene

Mumbai– Actress Niyati Fatnani says she feels shy and awkward when it comes to shooting romantic scenes.

In an upcoming episode of “Nazar”, Niyati will be seen opposite her co-actor Harsh Rajput (who plays the character of Ansh Rathore) in a romantic scene in the show.

“I am quite shy and awkward when it comes to such things. This is my first romantic scene with Harsh and even though I am very comfortable with him, I did feel nervous before shooting it,” Niyati said in a statement.

“But I am a very committed actor and did not want to let my inhibitions come in the way of shooting the sequence. So I spoke to the director and Harsh before the shoot and discussed my nervousness, after which I went with the flow and gave the show.”

I’ve always been health conscious: Sneha Wagh

Mumbai– Actress Sneha Wagh says she has always been health conscious and has picked up a new healthy habit.

Sneha currently plays the role of Tulsa in the show “Mere Sai”. As per the storyline, Tulsa has been advised by Sai Baba to keep water in her mouth as she is constantly bickering.

“I have always been a health conscious person and drink sufficient water. Never have I ever had so much water in my life before. Because of the ongoing narrative of ‘Mere Sai’, I have been drinking around eight to nine litres of water on a daily basis,” Sneha said in a statement.

“The sequence required me to fill my mouth with water and obviously I ended up drinking most of it. In a way, I feel it’s great that I have been having so much water as it purifies our system and keeps us healthy. Thanks to our show, I am on my way of developing a new healthy habit,” she added.
