Bhumi Pednekar recalls ‘pure liberation’ of ‘Thank You For Coming’
Mumbai– Actress Bhumi Pednekar reflected on her experience working on the 2023 comedy-drama “Thank You For Coming,” describing the film as a journey of “pure liberation.”
Marking three years since the film’s release, Pednekar shared a scene from the movie on Instagram and also wished director Karan Boolani a happy birthday.
“She will always be my spirit animal. The pure liberation I felt doing this film,” Pednekar wrote. “3 years of Thank You For Coming. Also happy birthday @karanboolani, you’re the best.”
The scene features Pednekar’s character, Rabiya Daal, speaking about happiness, self-acceptance and refusing to apologize for personal choices.
“We deserve happiness. I deserve happiness,” her character says in the clip, adding that making mistakes should not define a person.
Directed by Boolani, “Thank You For Coming” explored female friendship, relationships, self-discovery and societal expectations.
Kareena Kapoor wishes Karan Boolani: ‘May the martini and meal always be top’
Mumbai — Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan wished filmmaker Karan Boolani a happy birthday with a lighthearted social media post.

Sharing a photo of Boolani and his wife, Rhea Kapoor, on Instagram Stories, Kareena wrote, “Happy Birthday dear Karan. May the martini and meal always be top. Big hug @karanboolani.”
Kareena worked with Rhea Kapoor on the 2018 comedy “Veere Di Wedding,” which also starred Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
Rhea also marked her husband’s birthday with a post featuring previously unseen moments from their relationship.
“Happy birthday to my handsome, loving, rock of a husband,” she wrote, adding that after 18 years together, seeing him at home still makes her heart flutter.
Actor Anil Kapoor also wished his son-in-law, praising his creativity and curiosity as a filmmaker and saying he and Rhea had built “something very special together.”
Rhea and Boolani married on Aug. 14, 2021, in a private ceremony at the Kapoor family’s Juhu residence.
Anushka Sen says ‘Jeju Olle’ lets her represent India globally
Mumbai — Actress Anushka Sen said starring in the Korean-Indian film “Jeju Olle” has given her another opportunity to represent India on an international stage.

The film, co-starring Kang Hyung-seok, has been selected for the 27th Newport Beach Film Festival and will have its North American premiere on Oct. 21.
“Representing India in different parts of the world has always been a dream for me,” Sen said. “Every time I get an opportunity to represent my country, it feels super special.”
Written and directed by Jin Kwang-Kyo, “Jeju Olle” follows Alisha, an Indian star who travels to Jeju Island after the death of her cousin and longtime manager. There she meets Ha Sun-woo, a former K-pop idol who has retreated from public life after career setbacks.
Over the course of a week, the two develop a connection while exploring the island, sharing music and confronting their pasts.
Shot in Korean, Hindi and English, the film combines Korean and Indian storytelling and explores themes of love, healing and new beginnings.
Sen said she was excited to see a project bringing together Indian and Korean cultures reach audiences in North America.
The film is produced by Storyworks Co., Ltd. and Lucifer Production.
Shriya Saran praises Ajay Devgn’s intense screen presence
Mumbai — Actress Shriya Saran has praised her “Drishyam 3” co-star Ajay Devgn, calling him an intense actor with a powerful screen presence.

“Ajay works with his eyes. His eyes are very powerful. And he has a different kind of dialogue delivery. He is a very intense actor,” Saran said.
She also praised Devgn’s work ethic, saying he is highly disciplined and often does not require multiple takes.
Saran spoke positively about director Abhishek Pathak as well, saying he devotes significant time to developing the script and working through the franchise’s twists before filming.
Reflecting on her character Nandini, Saran said the story continued to surprise her despite her familiarity with the role.
Saran plays the wife of Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar in the “Drishyam” franchise.
“Drishyam: The Conclusion” also stars Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. The film continues Vijay’s efforts to protect his family as renewed police and legal scrutiny threatens to uncover the truth.
The Hindi franchise is adapted from the Malayalam original, which has also been remade in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Salman Khan attends niece Sipaara’s first birthday celebration
Mumbai — Bollywood star Salman Khan joined family members in Mumbai for the first birthday celebration of his brother Arbaaz Khan and Sshura Khan’s daughter, Sipaara.

The family gathered for an intimate celebration as Sipaara, born on Oct. 5, 2025, turned one.
Salman was photographed arriving in a wine-colored long-sleeved shirt, dark denim and sunglasses.
His parents, Salim Khan and Salma Khan, also attended, along with siblings Sohail Khan and Arpita Khan Sharma and other family members.
Sipaara is Arbaaz and Sshura’s first child together. The couple married in December 2023 and welcomed their daughter in October 2025. They have largely kept her out of the public eye and have not publicly revealed her face.
Salman is known to share a close bond with his nieces and nephews, who frequently post family moments with him on social media.
On the work front, Salman is hosting the 20th season of “Bigg Boss” and is also set to appear in the upcoming film “Matrubhoomi.” (Source: IANS)
