Arijit Singh Reunites With ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’ Team for New Song ‘Purane Din’

Mumbai — Singer Arijit Singh has reunited with composer Rochak Kohli, lyricist Kumaar and filmmaker Luv Ranjan for “Purane Din,” a new song from the upcoming romantic drama Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar.

The collaboration brings together the team behind the popular song “Tera Yaar Hoon Main,” with their latest track exploring the nostalgia of college friendships, first love and youthful memories.

Composed by Kohli with lyrics by Kumaar, the song captures the emotional journeys of the film’s six protagonists, played by Tushar Chhibber, Sargun Kaur Luthra, Kunal Vaid, Sakshi Vaidya, Sparsh Walia and Alisha Chopra. All six actors are making their film debuts.

Speaking about the collaboration, Kohli expressed his excitement about reuniting with the team.

“The love Tera Yaar Hoon Main continues to receive even today is something I’m extremely grateful for. With Purane Din, I’m happy to reunite with Luv Ranjan, Arijit and Kumaar and explore another emotion that is just as universal – the innocence of first love,” he said.

Kohli added that the team wanted to create a song that would feel both familiar and fresh while connecting with listeners across generations.

Kumaar said the new track shares an emotional connection with their earlier collaboration, particularly in its exploration of friendship and memories of growing up.

“Both Tera Yaar Hoon Main and Purane Din come from a very similar emotional space – friendship and the memories we create while growing up. With Purane Din, I wanted to capture that innocence of college life, when friendships, first crushes and the smallest moments could feel so significant,” he said.

The lyricist added that he hoped the song would remind listeners of their younger years and the friendships and relationships that shaped their lives.

“Purane Din” is available on T-Series Music.
