Last Minute India Explores Heartbreak and Letting Go in New Single ‘Udd Chale’

Mumbai — Mumbai-based indie band Last Minute India has released its latest single, “Udd Chale,” a song centered on heartbreak, emotional distance and the slow unraveling of a relationship.

Rather than focusing on a sudden breakup, the track explores how relationships can gradually change as conversations become less frequent, lives move in different directions and once-familiar closeness begins to fade.

Written by Subodh Gupta and composed and performed by Last Minute India, “Udd Chale” blends the band’s alternative rock sound with an introspective look at accepting the end of a relationship even when feelings remain.

“‘Udd Chale’ comes from a very real space of understanding that not every relationship ends because of a lack of love,” Gupta said. “Sometimes people simply grow apart, and accepting that can be one of the hardest things to do.”

He said the band wanted the song to capture the feeling of still missing someone while recognizing the need to let that person move forward.

Band member Bhumit said the song reflects how some people continue to occupy a place in a person’s thoughts even after a relationship has ended.

“Some people remain a part of your thoughts even when they’re no longer a part of your life,” he said. “‘Udd Chale’ comes from that feeling of missing someone, while also understanding that sometimes letting go is the only way forward.”

The release also marks a new chapter for the five-member band through its association with T-Series.

Last Minute India is known for blending Hindi pop and alternative rock. Its recent single “Ab Mai Kya Karun” has surpassed 1 million streams on Spotify.

Earlier releases include “Kaagaz Ki Naav,” which has crossed 2 million streams, “Rehnuma,” with more than 1 million streams, and “Yaadein,” with more than 300,000 streams. (Source: IANS)
