Amar Seva Sangam USA to Host R.D. Burman Musical Fundraiser in Framingham
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Amar Seva Sangam USA will introduce its work to the New England community with a musical fundraiser celebrating the music of Indian composer R.D. Burman on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Keefe Tech School Auditorium in Framingham.
Titled “Pancham – Sunhere Geeth Ke Sang,” the event will feature a live band and local singers and musicians performing some of Burman’s best-known songs.
The evening will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m., followed by the musical program at 6 p.m.
Valentino Almeida, a singer known in the local music community, will serve as the lead singer. He will be joined by a group of local singers and musicians for the program.
The fundraiser is being organized by Amar Seva Sangam USA to support the work of Amar Seva Sangam in India. Based in Ayikudy, Tamil Nadu, Amar Seva Sangam has worked with people with disabilities for several decades.
The organization provides rehabilitation services, education, vocational training, employment support and community-based programs for children and adults with disabilities. Its programs are intended to help people with disabilities develop greater independence and access educational and employment opportunities.
Amar Seva Sangam USA was established to support those efforts and expand awareness of the organization’s work among communities in the United States.
The Framingham event will combine the fundraising effort with an introduction of Amar Seva Sangam USA and its mission to the New England community.
Organizers said they are seeking to raise awareness of the organization and its work in India and the United States through the event.
The program is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Keefe Tech School Auditorium, Framingham, Massachusetts. The social hour begins at 5 p.m., with the musical performance scheduled for 6 p.m.
