Katrina Kaif congratulates Mini Mathur on ‘Alliance’ win
Mumbai — Katrina Kaif congratulated Mini Mathur after she won the reality show “Alliance.”
Mathur shared photos of herself posing with the trophy on Instagram, writing, “And just like that… the queen wears her crown.”
Kaif responded in the comments, “Congratssssssss,” while Malaika Arora wrote, “Awesome mini.”
Ridhi Dogra also praised Mathur’s performance, calling her “level headed,” “dignified” and deserving of the victory.
Mathur later said her husband, filmmaker Kabir Khan, became deeply invested in the show and closely followed the contestants with their family.
“I am sure he is extremely proud of me, just like my children and the rest of my family,” she said, adding that the experience had given her “a completely new lease on life.”
Kaif has worked with Khan on several films, including “New York,” “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Phantom.”
Mouni Roy celebrates Bengali heritage in traditional look
Mumbai — Mouni Roy celebrated her Bengali roots by sharing a video of herself in a traditional outfit.
The actress displayed graceful dance moves in a shimmering ensemble paired with long earrings and a maang tikka. She kept the caption simple, writing, “Bengali belle.”
Roy set the video to Rabindranath Tagore’s Bengali song “O Je Mane Na Mana.”
Born in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, Roy grew up in a Bengali-speaking family with strong ties to theater.
On the work front, she has joined an upcoming untitled romantic film directed by Suresh Krissna and produced by Prerna Arora. The movie is described as a contemporary love story set in the age of social media.
Ajay Devgn marks 22 years of ‘Taarzan: The Wonder Car’
Mumbai — Ajay Devgn marked 22 years of “Taarzan: The Wonder Car” by sharing a throwback video featuring memorable scenes from the film.
The clip included Devgn walking toward the movie’s distinctive purple car. He captioned the post, “Sirf gaadi udaata nahi, zarurat pade toh gaadi ban bhi jaata hu.”
Directed by Abbas-Mustan, the 2004 supernatural action thriller also starred Vatsal Sheth, Ayesha Takia, Farida Jalal, Gulshan Grover, Amrish Puri and Shakti Kapoor.
The film follows an automobile engineer whose spirit inhabits a futuristic car after his murder and seeks revenge on those responsible for his death.
“Taarzan: The Wonder Car” also marked Sheth’s Bollywood debut in a lead role. Its soundtrack was composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
Adah Sharma uses spooky act to quiet child in neighboring hotel room
Mumbai — Adah Sharma amused fans by sharing a late-night video showing how she used spooky “witch” sounds to quiet a child throwing tantrums in a neighboring hotel room.
In the clip, the actress makes eerie noises through the wall and jokingly warns that a witch will appear unless the child calms down.
Sharma said the child had repeatedly kept everyone awake with late-night demands and disruptive behavior. She added in the comments that the child’s mother later sent her sweets as a thank-you gesture.
Known for her unconventional social media posts, Sharma often shares humorous videos and observations from everyday life.
The actress made her Bollywood debut in the 2008 horror film “1920” and later appeared in “Hasee Toh Phasee,” the “Commando” films and “The Kerala Story.”
Amitabh Bachchan jokes about being called ‘KBC Uncle’
Mumbai — Amitabh Bachchan joked about his work in Bhojpuri cinema and being known as “KBC Uncle” during a conversation with a contestant on “Kaun Banega Crorepati.”
In a promotional clip from the show, the contestant said people in Bihar greatly admire Bachchan and urged him to appear in more Bhojpuri films.
Bachchan replied that he had already acted in two Bhojpuri movies and humorously asked whether the contestant had watched them.
The contestant later revealed that his young child recognizes the veteran actor from “Kaun Banega Crorepati” advertisements and calls him “KBC Uncle.”
Bachchan laughed and said the nickname had erased his 55-year film career. The contestant responded that the child was too young to have seen his movies.
Shilpa Shetty celebrates mother-in-law’s 75th birthday
Mumbai — Shilpa Shetty Kundra celebrated her mother-in-law Usha Rani Kundra’s 75th birthday with a social media tribute.
The actress shared a video on Instagram and wrote, “Happy 75th Birthday to the youngest, coolest mom-in-law I know.”
Shetty recently also shared photos and videos from an all-girls family vacation with her mother Sunanda Shetty, sister Shamita Shetty and daughter Samisha.
“Three generations. Four hearts. One unforgettable girls’ trip,” she wrote alongside the vacation album.
