Sonu Nigam Reflects on Arijit Singh Visit, Praises His Musical Journey
MUMBAI, India — Singer Sonu Nigam shared a nostalgic memory of a recent reunion with fellow musician Arijit Singh, recalling the singer’s visit to his home after a gap of nearly 15 years.
Nigam posted a series of photos from the January 13, 2026, visit, describing the meeting as both emotional and memorable. During the visit, Singh gifted Nigam a plant, which now holds a special place in his home temple.
“#throwback : 13th Jan 2026 my adorable Arijit in my house. After almost 15 years. So proud of his journey through these years.. And he knows very well how much I love him. The plant he brought, adorns my mandir. (sic),” Nigam wrote on social media.
The gathering also featured impromptu musical moments, adding to the significance of the reunion. Nigam mentioned that his son Shashwat and another young performer joined in, creating what he described as a heartfelt atmosphere.
“And then my little genius Shashwat and Magic also turned up to add more love. I might share Shashwat giving us all a performance of Soona soona on whistle.. It’s the most lovable sight.. But.. I’ll take that call later.. Let’s see how many people desire to see it..,” he added.
The post comes amid recent attention around Singh’s announcement that he would step away from taking on new playback singing assignments. The singer had earlier surprised fans with an emotional message about his decision.
In February, Singh clarified that while he has stopped accepting new projects, previously recorded songs are still being released.
“This message is just for my listeners please don’t read and swipe right now if you are not my listener, its a humble request. Hello beautiful people! I just want to tell you all that I love you. Thank you so much for your kindness in this ruthless world,” he wrote.
“Although I have stopped taking new assignments, the list of pending songs are not less you know. I will have to complete a lot of songs. Don’t involve into explaining people, How many times will you? there are so many Unfinished songs, they are gonna keep releasing until they are done.
