Boman Irani Jokes About Peace Talks With Trump Amid Ongoing West Asia Conflict

MUMBAI — Actor-director Boman Irani struck a lighthearted tone on social media as he joked about stepping in as a “diplomat” to help resolve the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
In a video shared on Instagram, Irani playfully referenced his surname and said he was ready to participate in peace talks involving U.S. President Donald Trump. The actor quipped that he, along with Smriti Irani and Aruna Irani, had been “called” to engage in discussions.
“So, as you may know, it’s going viral that Mr. Donald Trump wants to speak to the Iranis, and three people have been beckoned to speak, Smriti Irani, Aruna Irani, and me,” he said in the video.
He added in jest, “So, I am ready. I am ready. We can do anything for peace. My only problem is that I won’t go to Washington. Let their delegation come here to the Dadar Parsi Colony. We will treat them with whatever they like, we’ll feed them dhansak and custard. We will bring a gas cylinder. I think it will make life very, very smooth for all of us.”
The humorous remarks come as tensions continue to escalate in West Asia, with the conflict nearing its fourth week. The United States and Israel have been carrying out strikes on Iranian targets, while Iran has responded with attacks on U.S. military bases and Israeli locations.
Earlier, Trump spoke about a potential five-day ceasefire, saying he had negotiated with Iranian leaders. Iran, however, dismissed the claim, accusing Trump of presenting a one-sided proposal aimed at influencing oil markets.
Despite the rhetoric, reports suggest that discussions between the United States and Iran are ongoing, even as fighting continues and critical infrastructure in both Iran and Israel remains under attack. (Source: IANS)
