MUMBAI — Music composer and singer duo Sachet and Parampara Tandon are reimagining the devotional music experience for today’s youth in the latest episode of Mixtape Bhakti, blending spirituality with contemporary sound to make traditional bhajans resonate with a modern audience.

Presented by T-Series and Bhushan Kumar, the new episode offers a soul-stirring tribute to Lord Shiva through an original composition titled Shambhu, written and performed by the duo. The bhajan captures both the serene stillness and divine energy associated with the deity, showcasing Sachet and Parampara’s signature fusion of emotional depth and musical innovation.

Mixtape Bhakti felt less like a project and more like a calling,” the pair shared in a statement. “Every note we sang carried the emotion of devotion, love, and surrender. Our core thought was to create a bridge that connects today’s generation with the wealth of spiritual bhajans passed down by our ancestors.”

They added, “Lord Shiva has always been our guiding energy; creating this bhajan was our way of reaching closer to him and feeling his calm and power flow through the music. We’re deeply grateful to Bhushan Kumar sir and T-Series for giving us this beautiful opportunity.”

The Mixtape Bhakti series continues to bring devotional music to a wider audience by pairing traditional themes with contemporary arrangements. In a previous episode, singers Mohit Chauhan and Neeti Mohan delivered a heartfelt rendition dedicated to Lord Krishna, which Chauhan described as a spiritually uplifting journey that deepened his connection to inner peace through music.

The latest episode of Mixtape Bhakti, featuring Sachet and Parampara’s Shambhu, is now streaming on the T-Series YouTube channel. (Source: IANS)
