MUMBAI– Global music sensation Sid Sriram, celebrated for hits like Srivalli (Pushpa) and Inkem Inkem Inkem Kaavaale (Geetha Govindam), has released his latest Tamil-language pop single, SOL.

Written, composed, produced, and performed by Sriram, with additional production by Atlanta-based hitmaker Mike Will-Made It, the track is described as a vibrant celebration of love and reflection.

“I started writing SOL about a year ago in my bedroom in Fremont, California, where I grew up. It came from a place of stillness and reflection, reconnecting with myself and rediscovering joy. When Mike Will-Made It and I linked up in Atlanta, he added a bounce to the piece that pushed it over the edge,” Sriram said.

The accompanying music video, directed by Parasher Baruah — who also helmed Sid’s devotional track Sivanar — features dancer Usha Jey and her internationally acclaimed crew known for blending Bharatanatyam with hip-hop. Shot in a surreal, futuristic setting with symbolic visuals of a barren tree and ancient walls, the choreography draws on Kolam patterns, infusing the video with a fusion of tradition and modern movement.

“This song and video are centered around joy, vibrance, evolution, and love,” Sriram explained, noting that the concept was created with his sister Pallavi Sriram, his father, and Baruah.

Released under his joint venture with Warner Music India, SOL further expands Sriram’s repertoire that bridges Indian classical traditions with contemporary global sounds. As the first South Indian artist to perform at Coachella, he has amassed hundreds of millions of streams and built a worldwide fanbase.

Adding to the release, Sriram announced his first-ever multi-city India tour, which kicks off in Bengaluru on November 22, followed by Chennai on November 29 and Hyderabad on December 13. (Source: IANS)
