MUMBAI– Music fans are in for a treat as singer and producer Yo Yo Honey Singh has teamed up with Shael Oswal for a new track titled Sajna. The first look of the music video was unveiled on Wednesday, promising a blend of Oswal’s soulful style with Honey Singh’s trademark energy.
Shael Oswal, who rose to fame with the 2006 hit Soniye Hiriye, has built a reputation for heartfelt songs like Tere Naal Naal, Jaan Ve, and Tuhi Toh Meri Dost Hai. With Sajna, he looks to reinvent himself through a modern collaboration with Honey Singh, widely credited for reshaping Indian pop culture with his chart-topping anthems.
The first look showcases grandeur and chemistry, combining Oswal’s signature romantic touch with Honey Singh’s swagger. For Oswal, the project represents artistic evolution and a chance to reconnect with fans on a new level. “Sajna is more than just another release — it’s a statement of growth and creativity,” he said.
Honey Singh, often dubbed the “Bluetooth King of India,” skyrocketed to fame with his 2011 album International Villager and dominated Bollywood music by 2014 before stepping away from the spotlight due to struggles with bipolar disorder, a period he reflected on in his Netflix documentary Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous. Despite setbacks, his comeback has been marked by renewed collaborations and fan excitement.
Recalling earlier days, Singh once revealed how Bollywood star Ajay Devgn encouraged him during the shoot of Ata Maajhi Satakli from Singham Returns in 2014, even after the singer arrived four hours late. Moments like that, Singh has said, helped him through turbulent phases in his career.
With Sajna, Honey Singh and Shael Oswal are aiming to deliver the best of both worlds — timeless romance and electrifying beats — in what is being billed as a musical spectacle. (Source: IANS)
