Fan Fakes Zomato Delivery to Sneak Into SRK’s Mannat — Guard’s Savage Reply Steals the Show

Mumbai– A Shah Rukh Khan superfan went all out in a crazy attempt to meet the superstar at his iconic mansion, Mannat. The fan, social media prankster Shubham Prajapat, cooked up a bizarre plan — pose as a Zomato delivery boy.

He ordered two cold coffees, convinced the real delivery guy to lend him the bag, and then strutted up to Mannat’s gate like he belonged there. The guard wasn’t impressed and cheekily sent him off to a “secret back door.”

Thinking he had cracked the code, Shubham tried again at the back. But when the guard asked him to prove who actually ordered the coffee, his plan crumbled. Bursting out laughing, the guard delivered the line that stole the show: “If SRK himself called, every coffee guy in Mumbai would dance for him!”

The prank failed spectacularly, but the video of the attempted sneak-in has gone viral. Adding to the irony, reports say SRK and his family aren’t even staying at Mannat right now — the house is under renovation.

Anupam Kher Calls It His ‘Proudest Moment’ Posing With Armed Forces Chiefs

Mumbai– Actor Anupam Kher says he felt “honoured and humbled” standing next to India’s real heroes — the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Chief of Defence Staff — during the 79th Independence Day celebrations at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Anupam Kher

The star, who attended President Droupadi Murmu’s at-home event alongside PM Modi, top ministers, and foreign envoys, shared unseen pics on Instagram. “If ever in my life PRIDE could be described in pics, these are it!” Kher wrote, thanking the service chiefs for their “grace and appreciation.”

On the work front, Kher is riding high after directing Tanvi The Great. He’ll next be seen as Mahatma Gandhi in Vivek Agnihotri’s upcoming drama The Bengal Files, releasing September 5. The actor revealed no prosthetics were used to transform him into Gandhi — just glasses, a white dhoti, shawl, and stick.

The film also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Puneet Issar, and Saswata Chatterjee, marking the third entry in Agnihotri’s controversial “Files” trilogy after The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files.

Do you want me to make this version lean harder into tabloid punch — like more hype on the photos and “star meets soldiers” drama, less on film details?

Javed Akhtar Reveals How Jai-Veeru Changed Bollywood Friendships Forever

Mumbai– Veteran writer Javed Akhtar says Jai and Veeru’s bond in Sholay rewrote the rulebook on male friendships in Indian cinema.

Javed Akhtar

Chatting with singer Sonu Nigam on a Spotify podcast, Akhtar explained how he and Salim Khan broke away from the “syrupy” style of earlier films, where friends only made lofty promises like “I’d give my life for you.” Instead, Jai (Amitabh Bachchan) and Veeru (Dharmendra) were messy, funny, and real — pulling each other’s legs, bragging, even landing one another in trouble.

Akhtar recalled how Jai nervously approached Basanti’s mausi on Veeru’s behalf, showing the playful, flawed side of friendship. He said that was the first time audiences saw comradeship on screen rather than forced melodrama.

Their bond, he added, came alive not through heavy dialogue but through the iconic song Ye Dosti, which captured the raw, everyday essence of real friendship.

Aamir Khan Mourns 3 Idiots Co-Star Achyut Potdar: ‘A Wonderful Human Being & Great Colleague’

Mumbai– Bollywood is mourning the loss of veteran actor Achyut Potdar, remembered for his roles in over 125 films and shows. He passed away at 91 at his Thane home after battling health issues.

Aamir Khan, who worked with him in 3 Idiots, paid tribute through his production house, calling Potdar “an amazing actor, a wonderful human being, and a great colleague.” Director Hansal Mehta also shared fond memories, saying Potdar’s “Ae Jaggu” line in Angaar made him a lifelong fan, while Jackie Shroff posted a heartfelt photo with his old co-star.

Sudhir Mishra recalled first seeing him in Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyoon Aata Hai, praising him as a “terrific person” and lamenting a disappearing world of cinema he embodied.

Before becoming a beloved screen presence in films like Parinda, Dilwale, Rangeela, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, and Dabangg 2, Potdar served in the Armed Forces and later worked at Indian Oil, only turning full-time to acting in the 1980s. His four-decade career left behind an unmatched legacy across Hindi and Marathi cinema.

Geo-Politics Buff John Abraham Weighs In on Trump’s Tariffs: ‘India Must Find New Markets’

Mumbai– Actor John Abraham isn’t just flexing muscles in his new thriller Tehran — he’s flexing his geo-political smarts too. The Bollywood star, known for his keen interest in world affairs, has weighed in on U.S. President Donald Trump’s heavy tariffs on India, saying the country must look for alternative markets to soften the blow.

John Abraham

“People think 25% or 50% tariffs won’t affect us — but they will,” John said. “The good news is India is strong. To counter this, we need to explore other markets.”

Tehran, streaming on ZEE5, dives into Middle Eastern politics and global power struggles, subjects John says have direct consequences for India. “What happens in the Middle East or anywhere in the world impacts us,” he explained, adding that the film was his way of breaking down global complexities for Indian audiences.

The film also stars Manushi Chhillar, Neeru Bajwa, and Madhurima Tuli, with director Arun Gopalan at the helm. Against the backdrop of espionage and fractured alliances, John plays more than just an action hero — he plays the voice of India in an increasingly unstable global order.

Meanwhile, India is shoring up ties with China and Russia through BRICS to counter Washington’s tariff hammer, even as Saudi Arabia flirts with the Petroyuan and Trump touts a peace deal in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Twinkle Khanna Reads From ‘Welcome to Paradise,’ Says She Wouldn’t Change a Word

Mumbai– Author and former actress Twinkle Khanna treated fans to a rainy-day reading from her short story collection Welcome to Paradise, sharing a video on Instagram where she called the book one of her few works she wouldn’t rewrite.

Twinkle Khanna

“On a rainy day, here’s a little extract from Welcome to Paradise,” she wrote. “I often wish I could go back and rewrite parts of my earlier books, but never with this one. It captured everything I wanted to say with a lightness of tone that I worked hard to achieve.”

The collection dives into loneliness, heartbreak, and deception through sharp, humorous storytelling centered on female characters — a style Twinkle has become known for.

Alongside her writing, Khanna is set to co-host the upcoming chat show Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, produced by Banijay Asia. Promising witty banter and candid conversations, the show will even feature appearances by their superstar husbands, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn.

Recently, she also gave fans a glimpse of her personal life with a tongue-in-cheek Instagram post featuring her dog, jokingly calling him her “most unimpressed co-star.” (Source: IANS)
