32-Year-Old Research Scientist Gajendradhar Dwivedi of Waltham Dies of Massive Cardiac Arrest

WALTHAM, MA– Gajendradhar Dwivedi, a research scientist in genome biology at Brandeis University, passed away with a massive cardiac arrest. He was 32.

Mr. Dwivedi, a resident of Waltham, MA, is survived by his wife Shweta Chaubey and their three-month-old daughter Vaanya, and his parents, who were visiting him from India. The couple had lived in the United States for less than three years.

Friends of Mr. Dwivedi told INDIA New England News that he passed away on Dec. 29 after a massive cardiac arrest within hours after he was taken to hospital.

“Our beloved Gajju is no more … life has been extremely unfair and there is nothing we can do to change,” said a post at the GoFundMe website. “He left behind a beautiful wife and young little daughter. What we can do is help secure them a little.”

Mr. Dwivedi’s  wife works at Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute in Boston. Mr. Dwivedi received his doctorate degree from Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India, and working as a research scientist at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA.
