Democrat- Running for Governor of Michigan
Shri Thanedar was born in Karnatakan India, Thanedar immigrated to the United States in 1979 to pursue his Ph.D. in polymer chemistry at the University of Akron. After earning his Ph.D. in 1982, Shri worked as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Michigan until 1984 when he began a new position as a Polymer Synthesis Chemist and Project Leader at the Petrolite Corporation.
Thanedar was recognized by Ernst & Young as “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 1999, 2007 and in 2016, and has been featured in numerous newspaper and magazine articles.
