Nominations Open for 2026 “20 Under 20” Awards — Honoring New England’s Brightest Young Changemakers
WALTHAM, MA — INDIA New England News, one of the nation’s leading Indian American news and video magazines serving the South Asian community, has officially opened nominations for its prestigious 20 Under 20 Awards for 2026.
The deadline to submit nominations is April 30, 2026.
Organizers emphasize that today’s youth are juggling academics, athletics, the arts, leadership roles, and meaningful community service—making this recognition especially significant in highlighting their dedication and impact.
All selected winners will be honored at the annual awards ceremony on August 2, 2026, at the Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.
“Today’s youth are balancing so much—academics, sports, the arts, leadership, and meaningful community service—and this recognition is a powerful testament to their dedication, passion, and impact,” said 20 Under 20 host Jharna Madan.
Madan also noted that the program not only celebrates achievement but helps amplify students’ voices, giving them visibility and encouragement while adding meaningful value to their college journeys and future aspirations.
“I truly look forward to this year’s 20 Under 20. Each year brings an extraordinary group of young talent that continues to inspire and impress… I encourage families, mentors, and educators to come forward and nominate deserving students—because every story deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated,” said Madan.
Nominations may be submitted by anyone—parents, teachers, mentors, friends, or fellow students—and self-nominations are also welcome. Eligible nominees must reside in one of the six New England states and be under the age of 20 as of April 30, 2026.
Award recipients will be selected based on a wide range of accomplishments, including academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, athletics, entrepreneurship, community service, volunteerism, and achievements in the arts or writing.
