Harvard Pilgrim Appoints Dr. Manju Sheth to Adult Clinical Advisory Committee

Sheth-Manju-Physician_0WELLESLEY, MA–Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, a not-for-profit health services company serving more than one million members in New England, has appointed Dr. Manju Sheth, MD, to its Adult Clinical Advisory Committee.

“We are very pleased to welcome Manju Sheth, MD, to our Adult Clinical Advisory Committee,” said Dr. William Brewster, MD, who heads the advisory committee. “The committee is an invaluable way for Harvard Pilgrim to collaborate with our local physicians. It provides guidance to Harvard Pilgrim, recommending ways to evaluate and improve care for our members.”

Dr. Brewster, who also serves as Chief Medical Officer of New Hampshire-based Benevera Health, said Dr. Sheth brings great experience to this role.

“Dr. Sheth brings great experience to this role not only as a physician/internist at Lahey Health in Danvers, but as past president of the Indian American Medical Association of New England and her involvement in many community groups such as a member of the advisory board of Saheli, a trustee of Indian American Forum of Political Education (IAFPE) and as president of the non-profit company INE Multimedia and a contributor to India New England News,” said Dr. Brewster.

Dr. Sheth said she is looking forward to joining the Harvard Pilgrim’s Adult Clinical Advisory Committee.

“I am very excited about my appointment to Adult Clinical Advisory Committee at Harvard Pilgrim. I am past president of Indian Medical association New England (IMANE) and have also organized and chaired annual mega Health Expos geared towards health education and issues pertaining to South Asian community,” said. Dr. Sheth. “I am in a good position to be a voice of South Asian community at Harvard Pilgrim .On a different note, I have been working in the community as a PCP at Partners followed by Lahey Health Systems currently so I am well versed in all the issues that patients and physicians encounter on a daily basis . I want to thank Harvard Pilgrim for this opportunity.”
