Summer brings with it the fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family, and to refresh ourselves from the long ordeal of winter. Be it going out for a day on the beach, or a hike up the local mountain range, a backyard barbecue – the possibilities are endless! This summer, take some time out for a unique experience that will not just refresh and rejuvenate your spirit, but also give you some invaluable teachings that are applicable to both you as an individual or professional, as well as your family in this modern age.
We are very excited to announce that the revered Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda-ji will be visiting Boston one last time before retiring as the head of Chinmaya Mission world-wide. He will be staying at the Andover ashram. This is a great opportunity for all members to visit and find answers to the above questions.
Guruji will be speaking on Bhagavad Gita for Daily Living, on July 21st through July 26th, 6:30pm – 8:00pm, at 1 Union Street, Andover, MA 01810. These discourses will focus on how to live a successful and stress-free life by following the wisdom and teachings of Bhagavad Gita. A simple dinner will be served to all attending. Child care will be available for a nominal cost and will require registration.
On Saturday July 23rd, 10am to 11:30am, at 117 East Main Street, Westborough, MA, Guruji will be delivering a special discourse on Roles & Goals. In this discourse, Pujya Guruji will be discussing the attitude with which we must perform the various roles in our daily life, and how to strive for a higher vision and goal. He will also conduct the discourse Guru – The Guiding Light, on Sunday July 24th, from 10am to 11:30am, at 1 Union St, Andover, MA. In this special discourse, Pujya Guruji will speak about the role of a Guru (teacher) in the journey of a spiritual seeker.
Interspersed through the week, we will also have the privilege of listening to Pujya Swami Shantananda ji (Head of Chinmaya Mission Tri State), who will be giving a series of three discourses on the spiritual significance and depth of the Gopikas’ devotion and love for Lord Sri Krishna. These discourses Gopika Geetam will be conducted on July 22nd 25th, and 26th, from 10:30am to 11:30am, at 1 Union St, Andover, MA.
All discourses are free and open to all. You are welcome to offer Bhiksha to Pujya Guruji and other visiting Acharyas. Aarti sponsorhip is available after Guruji’s lectures. A special Guru Paduka Puja will be performed by Pujya Swami Shantananda ji on Sunday July 24th from 8:30am in Andover ashram.
