WALTHAM, MA—Aditya Rohit Shah’s landing on Indian classical music is nearly perfect. He is truly the new generation’s classical music superstar. At 22, he is a member of HubSpot’s support team, and says he harmonizes his personal passion of Indian classical music with his tech job. He teaches vocal music at Waltham, MA-based LearnQuest Academy of Music.

Shah grew up in Pune, India, where he began his musical training under Shri Sanjay Kadam of the Gwalior Gharana. Since 2006, he has trained in North Indian Classical Vocal Music under the guidance and blessings of Pandit Rattan Mohan Sharma and Pandit Radharman Kirtane, direct disciples of his Bade-Guruji Sangeet Martand Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj-ji.

In 2012, Shah was selected to perform a solo concert for Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. He won First Place in his age category in SwarGanga’s prestigious “Crescendo” National Competition (USA & Canada) in 2013. In 2013, he was deeply honored to receive the prestigious “Mewati Pradeept” award from the Pandit Jasraj Institute, which marked the commencement of his solo musical career.

Shah has performed at many venues in the United States, India, and the UK. He graduated from Dartmouth College in June 2015, where he studied History and Economics, and wrote an award-winning Honors Thesis dealing with Indian Classical Music’s intellectual history; the thesis was praised by leading scholars of Indian history. He is also currently working on several musical projects, including a debut classical album and an album of devotional hymns. He recently released a music video of the Kabir Poem, “Jhini Jhini Chadariya.”

Professionally, Shah is an Inbound Sales Consultant at Cambridge, MA-based HubSpot.
