BOSTON–Whether you are a yoga expert or still at a contemplation stage of trying out the ancient practice of yoga, June brings diverse opportunities for you in the Boston area.

Yoga is an art and science that originated in ancient India and now has reached from shore to shore and door to door. Yoga’s popularity has tremendously grown in last few decades, mostly because of its therapeutic effects on our body and mind.

According to Jay Gupta, president of RxRelax and YogaCaps, Inc., published clinical data suggests that yoga has potential to help over 100 disease conditions. “No modern medicine can claim, at least for now, to elicit this kind of evidence-based benefit. If you are curious to learn more, you are welcome to attend one or all of the following events,” adds Mr. Gupta.

United Nations proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga (IDY) in December 2014. Since then, yoga enthusiasts in New England have been celebrating IDY every year with lot of excitement to invigorate their own practice. This year, events are spread out throughout the month. Here is a list of events planned so far. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of each program, so you secure your favorite spot and are ready to go deeper into the practices.
