Mona Singh Explores Love, Logic, and Motherhood in Upcoming Series ‘Maa Ka Sum’

MUMBAI— Actress Mona Singh says her upcoming streaming series Maa Ka Sum offers a refreshing mix of humor, emotion, and vulnerability, anchored in an unconventional yet deeply relatable story.
The trailer for the series, directed by Nicholas Kharkongor, was unveiled on Friday. The show follows a 19-year-old math prodigy, Agastya (played by Mihir Ahuja), who attempts to solve matters of the heart using logic and equations. His mission, dubbed “Project Mom,” focuses on finding the perfect partner for his single mother, Vinita, portrayed by Singh.
The narrative unfolds as a quirky and emotional journey where carefully constructed plans collide with the unpredictability of human emotions.
Singh described her character as unlike any she has played before, highlighting the strong bond between mother and son built on friendship, trust, and an unusual perspective on love. She noted that the story allows her character to embrace vulnerability and rediscover love in a meaningful way.
