AID Asha Holds Marathon Training Program Info Session on April 7, Has Trained 400 Runners and Raised $890,000 for AID and Asha for Education

CAMBRIDGE, MA—Team AID Asha announced that it will host the informational session about its annual program to train those interested for a half or a full marathon on Sunday, April 7, at MIT in Cambridge, MA.

The informational session is free and no prior running experience is necessary to join the program.

Over the last 16 years, Team AID Asha has trained approximately 400 runners to complete their first full/half marathon and raise more than $890,000 for developmental and educational projects in India supported by Association for India’s development and Asha for Education.

The training program kicks-off in the Spring and targets a half/full Marathon in the Fall. The attendees of the information session will learn about tips on running shoes, nutritional needs, stretching and strengthening. In addition, TeamAIDAsha will have coaches and mentors on hand to provide guidance to the runners.
