    About The Program
Support a Child is flagship project of World Hindu Council of America (VHPA) since 1985. The project is specifically designed to support underprivileged children. Since its inception, thousands of children have benefited from this program. Through this program they receive quality education, housing, nutritious food and health care. The results are absolutely amazing; large numbers of students have gone to do higher studies and many of these children are now working as teachers, engineers, doctors and other professionals. Just to give you an idea, in 2017 alone SAC, with the support from the community, was able to support more than 2000 children. These children are selected anywhere from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in India, many are orphans and many come from very poor background.

The way the program works; you can select a child form the list provided by SAC or SAC can pick a child (boy or girl) for you. You pay $250 a year which covers all costs in supporting one child.
