Deepika Padukone’s image caption impresses Ranveer Singh

Mumbai– Actress Deepika Padukone’s “shuddh desi” photograph caption has impressed her actor-husband Ranveer Singh.

Deepika on Thursday night shared an image of herself wearing a bright green ensemble and captioned it: “Vishisht aakriti dharan karna (to take on a special shape) wearing @ashishstudio.”

Ranveer, who is currently busy shooting for “83”, replied: “”Shuddh desi caption.”

Deepika will be seen sharing screen space with Ranveer in the upcoming film “’83”.

“’83” will trace India’s historic victory at the 1983 cricket World Cup. Ranveer Singh will be playing the role of former Indian skipper Kapil Dev and Deepika will essay his wife Romi.

Deepika has also wrapped up “Chhapaak”, where she plays an acid attack survivor. The film also stars Vikrant Massey and is slated for release on January 10, 2020.

Nick calls Priyanka his ‘hot date’

New York– American pop singer Nick Jonas cannot stop gushing about his wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas, whom he called his “hot date”.

Nick on Friday posted an Instagram story featuring his wife and Indian actress. He used a heart filter on the social media platform.

He captioned the Instagram story: “My hot date on date night”.

Nick and Priyanka’s date night video comes hours after the Jonas Brothers released their new song titled “Runaway”.

On the Bollywood front, Priyanka has wrapped up shooting for Shonali Bose’s “The Sky Is Pink” along with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.

Yoga helps you age gracefully: Shilpa Shetty

Mumbai– Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra marked the International Yoga Day with a session with CISF, CRPF and NCC cadets and officials here on Friday, and urged people to make it a part of their daily routine for its many benefits.

Early morning on Friday, Shilpa was happy to see a huge turnout at the Gateway of India.

“What a huge turnout. No better way to celebrate International Yoga Day than practicing it with the CISF, CRPF and NCC cadets and officials. The high point…we continued with the session notwithstanding the rain. A true celebration. Happy International Yoga Day instafam. Start today, if you haven’t already,” Shilpa posted on Instagram along with a video.

An artiste, who has always pushed the idea of wellness, she spoke to the media about the importance of yoga.

“What is important is learning. I’m still learning every day, but since we are celebrating International Yoga Day, I just want to say that its benefits are many. No one has ever turned to yoga and said they have regretted it. First things first, make the start, even if it means today.

“People wait for an auspicious day to start something new, so today is International Yoga Day, an auspicious day to start yoga.”

Nikita didn’t plan her transition from TV to Bollywood

Mumbai– Actress Nikita Dutta says she didn’t plan her transition from television to Bollywood, but it happened organically.

“Honestly it wasn’t something I had planned. I hadn’t even planned to do TV four years ago when my first show happened,” Nikita said in a statement.

“It was an opportunity that I decided to take up. It has been the same regarding doing films now,” she added.

The 26-year-old has appeared in TV shows like “Ek Duje Ke Vaaste”, “Haasil” and “Laal Ishq”. In films, she has featured in “Gold” and is seen as Jia Sharma in “Kabir Singh”. She essays the role of the actress who falls in love with Shahid Kapoor’s character.

“When I look back at the last six years, it has been quite a ride. I would rather say I have been quite fortunate to experience so much in this span. Every piece of work has been a learning experience,” she said.

Deepika finds ‘too much hotness’ in Katrina’s picture

Mumbai– Actress Deepika Padukone found “too much hotness” in a photograph posted by Katrina Kaif on her Instagram page.

Katrina on Thursday posted a photograph of herself along with her hair artiste Amit Thakur.

In the image, the “Bharat” star sports a no make-up look and posed with Thakur.

She captioned it: “Bhaiya (brother) and me.”

It drew Deepika to comment: “Too much hotness in one frame.”

On the acting front, Katrina will next be seen in “Sooryavanshi”, starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Rohit Shetty.

Deepika will be seen sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh in “’83”. This will be the first time the two will be seen working together after their wedding.

Would erase ‘Shaandaar’ from my career trajectory: Shahid

Mumbai– Actor Shahid Kapoor says he has done “some really crappy films”, and he would erase “Shaandaar” from his career trajectory if he could.

Shahid expressed his opinion when he appeared on an episode of zoOm’s show “By Invite Only”, read a statement.

He featured on the show with his “Kabir Singh” co-star Kiara Advani.

Talking about Shahid’s career trajectory, Kiara said: “I was not a fan of ‘Shaandaar’.”

Shahid agreed, and said: “I would erase ‘Shaandaar’ from my career trajectory if I could. No one from this generation of actors can claim that a bad film did well just because they were in it. I think I have a very loyal fan following. And I thank them every day of my life. I have done some really crappy films.”

Happy to be part of wave of change: Ali Fazal

Mumbai– Actor Ali Fazal, who is gearing up for the second season of the web series “Mirzapur” and a web film, says content on digital platforms is taking showbiz by storm.

“Digital platforms, needless to say, are taking the content industry by a storm. There’s so much happening and so much new promising content. Internationally, there’s an abundance of such platforms and content which is now competing with films neck-to-neck at several levels,” Ali said in a statement.

Apart from Amazon Prime Video’s “Mirzapur 2”, Ali has been signed on by another digital platform, this time for an original film. Directed by Samit Basu and Shashanka Ghosh, the said film is a comedy of sorts of a man stuck in fears locking himself in his house for months.

He said: “In India, with the boom of internet and mobile phones, we are steering towards greater content being produced digitally and I’m happy to be part of this wave of change. It’s young and it’s very exciting as an actor to be part of two of the biggest platforms, helps to get an exposure of a magnitude which wasn’t imaginable a few years back.” (IANS)
