Applications Now Open for Scholarship Program for Diaspora Children


NEW YORK—India’s Ministry of External Affairs has opened applications for 150 scholarships to the children of People of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indian (NRIs) for pursuing undergraduate courses at specified institutions in India.

The scholarship is offered under ”Scholarship Program for Diaspora Children (SPDC)” program, according to a statement from Indian Consulate General in new York.

Under this scholarship program, the Ministry of External Affairs provides financial assistance to students selected under SPDC covering up to 75% of the total Institutional Economic Costs subject to maximum of USD 4,000.

Details for SPDC scheme along with the specified institutes and courses covered for the academic session 2019-20 are now available at SPDC portal
