BOSTON—With the world’s oldest marathon race getting ready for April 15 in Boston, you are probably wondering: if I have never run, can I really complete a marathon? The short answer is yes, you can, says marathon trainer and mentor Ajit Sabnis.
On Sunday, April 7, Mr. Sabnis and his TeamAIDAsha will host an informational session at MIT in Cambridge, MA about its annual program to train those interested in for a half or a full marathon. The event if free to all attendees.

Over the last 16 years, Team AID Asha has trained approximately 400 runners to complete their first full/half marathon and raise more than $890,000 for developmental and educational projects in India supported by Association for India’s Development (AID) and Asha for Education.
The training program kicks-off this month and targets a half/full Marathon in the Fall. The attendees of the information session will learn about tips on running shoes, nutritional needs, stretching and strengthening. In addition, TeamAIDAsha will have coaches and mentors on hand to provide guidance to the runners.
