New York– Actress-producer Priyanka Chopra has unveiled her wax figure in Madame Tussauds here and says it will be followed by a launch in three other countries.

She then shared an image where she is posing with the statue, with the caption: “My New Twin”.
In the figure in New York, she is seen wearing a red flowing gown, bringing back memories of her red iconic look from the 2016 Emmy Awards. It also has a bit of sparkle as the figure also sports a replica diamond wedding ring.
“Coming to other locations soon… Four figures — UK, Australia, Asia coming up! Thank you to the Madame Tussaud’s team,” she posted.
The four statues will be launched in London, Sydney and Asia.

New Delhi– Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier, who became an overnight sensation last year over a “wink scene” from the film ‘Oru Adaar Love’ created quite a buzz on social media on Friday with a kissing scene going viral from the same movie.
The makers of her Malayalam film released a sneak peek of the movie, directed by Omar Lulu, showing Priya in an intimate lip-lock with her co-star Roshan Abdul Rahoof while in school premises.

Another labelled the teaser as “sexual content”. One even urged to “ban” the film as it would “spoil” school children if they watch the movie.
The actress shot to fame with her ‘wink and fire gun’ kiss scene from the film last year, which resulted in Priya, 19, amassing over a million followers on social media.
Prirya is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the upcoming film ‘Sridevi Bungalow’ directed by Prasanth Mambully.
As a director, Kangana is detailed, pertinent: Actor Richard Keep
Mumbai– British actor Richard Keep, who essays General Hugh Rose in “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi”, says though he maintained a distance from the actress-director to stay true to his role during the shooting of the film, he found her detailed as a film director.
Sharing his experience of working with Kangana, Richard told IANS here: “We met rarely over the course of making the film and this was intentional as the story is a ‘cat and mouse’ chase until the end. Kangana as director is detailed, specific, and pertinent…clear in pursuit of excellence.”
The film “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi” revolves around the journey of how Rani Laxmibai, the queen of Jhansi, fought a battle against the then British government and lost her life on the battlefield.
The film grabbed attention in the media due to a row between Kangana and Krish over directorial credit.
While Richard was directed in the movie by Kangana, it was Krish who found him.
“Krish found my profile on Spotlight, a UK database for casting actors,” said the actor, who says it was a “miracle” for him to be a part of a film of this scale.
I am ordinary: Big B
Mumbai– Megastar Amitabh Bachchan finds it embarrassing to be tagged as the ‘Star Of The Millennium’ saying the title came his way due to a computer error perhaps, and insists he is just an “ordinary artiste”.
It was in 1999 when the BBC honoured him with the title after an online survey, but Amitabh recalls it was his co-actor Govind Namdev, who told him that he was ‘Star Of The Millennium’.
“But I never believed in it… There is one secret behind it. The BBC News, which conferred the honour on me, conducted an online survey where they asked people to vote for an actor whom they thought was the most popular in last 100 years.
“And because of that online survey thing, some votes came my way and I feel it’s a computer error and there is no truth behind it.”
“I feel so embarrassed when people label me with these tags. I am an ordinary artist and people who are sharing this platform with me are great as today I am so much inspired by their thoughts.”
The 76-year-old thespian was addressing the media at actor-turned-author Namdev’s book launch titled “Madhukar Shah Bundela” along with Ram Gopal Bajaj, Satish Kaushik and Chandraprakash Dwivedi on Thursday here.
Good content, great box office go hand in hand: Yami Gautam
Mumbai– With “Uri: The Surgical Strike” crossing the Rs 200 crore mark, actress Yami Gautam, who plays an intelligence officer in the film, believes monetary success gives recognition but the long-time impact boils down to the content.
“I feel both good content and great box office go hand in hand. Of course if the film you are a part of becomes a success by its numbers, then you are given a certain amount of recognition. But I feel it all transpires what the film was about and what kind of content it represents,” Yami said in a statement to IANS.
The gritty drama, which traces the real-life events of the 2016 Uri attack and its aftermath, features Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. The film released on January 11, and continues to draw in the audience.
“With ‘Uri…’, the film had great content which drove people to the theatres week after week. And it’s amazing to see these numbers, not to be part of any club but just to know that people have over these weeks gone to see the film, even till date, almost a month after its release.
“Overall from a career perspective, box office numbers till the time they are genuine returns to the producers, is when there’s a true impact. Every film has different economics and no two films can be compared to each other simply by the extent of its box office only,” Yami added. (IANS)
