BURLINGTON, MA—Dr. Meena Sundaram, MD, who is popularly known as a Bollywood singer in the Indian-American community in New England, is also a heart specialist and will explain new high blood pressure guidelines at the 6th Annual Health, Fitness & Wellness Expo on Sunday at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.
The new guidelines state that normal blood pressure now is under 120/80 as compared with what was normal under 140/90 in the past. What these new guidelines mean? How these stricter measures will affect the health of your heart? What is the new definition of hypertension? Why should this all matter to you?
“Dr. Sundaram is going to put into perspective the new high blood pressure guidelines for common people like us. If you are still thinking your blood pressure is fine or whacky, you should think again and attend her session,” said Upendra Mishra, producer of the Health Expo.
The American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association released their 114-page updated blood pressure guidelines late last year.
The 6th Annual Health, Fitness & Wellness Expo will be held on March 4 at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA, from 9: 00 AM to 4:30 PM It is free to all attendees, but you must pre-register.
