With Star Speakers, Harvard’s India Conference to Shine Spotlight on Benefits From “Disruptive Innovations”

CAMBRIDGE, MA—The 15th annual edition of the India Conference organized by students of Harvard University has lined up a stellar panel of speakers of speakers from India and the United State, and plans to shine spotlight on the benefits from “Disruptive Innovations” which is the theme of the conference.

Scheduled on Feb. 10th and 11th at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA and Boston, conference’s key speakers include Indian Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu, Nitin Paranjpe, former CEO of Unilever India and current President of Unilever Home Care, and Indian film actor Kamal Haasan.

“In the last few years, India has witnessed remarkable innovation across sectors. Aadhaar, Unified Payment Interface, technology-based education and health delivery, low-cost solar power are but a few examples of this trend,” said Anushka Siddiqui, one of the organizers of the conference.

Organized by graduate students of Harvard University, India Conference at Harvard is one of the largest India focused, student-led conferences held in the United States.

“In our daily life, innovations are changing the way we consume news and entertainment alike; with wide-ranging implications for the political and social sphere,” said Siddiqui. “This year, we not only want to celebrate innovations taking place in India, but furthermore shine a spotlight on areas that will benefit from such disruption.”

Siddiqui said that the India Conference will bring together major stakeholders in various Industry for a weekend of enriching discussion and insights.

“We have managed to bring together a stellar line-up of speakers that includes Kamal Haasan, Captain Amarinder Singh, Barkha Dutt, Amish Tripathi, Sabyasachi, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), Poonam Mahajan, Rahul Kanwal, Nidhi Razdan, Adil Zainulbhai, Divya Spandana, Kavin Bharti Mittal, Byju Raveendran, Punita Sinha, and many more,” said  Siddiqui. “We hope you’ll join us for these important conversations.”

The conference will be held at the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School at the university campus.
