BOSTON—If Harvard Business School Dean Nitin Nohria is lucky, his next break might come from a role in a Bollywood movie. Now, he already has some experience in Hollywood: a cameo role in the newly-released Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Poets and Quants recently broke the story about Nohria’s Hollywood debut.

“In a brief scene in the summer blockbuster movie about the famous Marvel character, Nohria plays the role of Dean Crimson. He appears in a YouTube video showing Spider-Man’s alter ego, Peter Parker, how to tie a Windsor knot–a thick, wide and triangular tie knot said to project confidence,” reported Poets and Quants.  “As the English Beat rocks to “Save It For Later,” Parker watches the video to pretty himself up for a big dance in the movie.”

In the summer of 2014, Nohria had revealed in the Chai With Manju celebrity interview series in a humorous way that his fantasy is to be “offered a small, unimportant, inconsequential role in a Bollywood movie.” He had said he will be happy with just one sentence where somebody is asking him: Ramu, chai lao (Ramu, get me some tea) in the movie.

He said he has met most Bollywood stars thanks to his wife who is from Juhu in Mumbai and a big Bollywood fan. No one has come forward to offer him that coveted role yet. May be, he has a better chance now with his Hollywood experience.

Nohria loves Bollywood. During the Chai interview, he told us that that his favorite song was: “jalte hein jiske liye teri aankhon ke diye” and to our tremendous surprise sang it beautifully for us.

“In his feature film debut, Nohria appears as is, without a colorful Marvel costume of any kind. It’s not known how his surprise appearance came about or if it will make Nohria eligible for an Academy Award nomination,” reported Poets and Quants.
